A Jerusalem based news agency is reporting the singing, four-headed beast known as the Quartet, is considering making a proposal to move the UN headquarters to Baghdad Iraq (Read about it here).

The Quartet, as you may recall, is the name for the international group composed of the US, EU, Russian and the UN. It was created to find a way to solve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

So far the report is unverified. However, it's still quite fascinating. And I think the report is worth looking into. Here's why I think this:

First, the report comes from a news agency based in Jerusalem. It stands to reason a Jerusalem based news agency should have sources for such information. 

Secondly, last May I wrote commentary about President George Bush proposing the establishment of a free trade area between the US and the entire Mediterranean by 2013 (America's Babylon 5-10-03). This indicates America may have plans for Iraq and the region that go beyond just eliminating weapons of mass destruction -- weaponns that were never found.

And thirdly, Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill is saying in his new book President Bush was planning on going to war in Iraq from the moment he took office -- even before 9/11 (Read about it here). In other words, the plan the US is now implementing for Iraq goes back a long time -- perhaps all the way to the first Bush Administration. 

Now we learn the Quartet may be preparing a proposal to take things much farther -- to move the UN's headquarters from New York to Baghdad. We also learn in the same report this move may be part of the Quartet's plans to reorganize the UN  in order to make it relevant -- to give the UN the military teeth it needs to enforce its resolutions.

If you've read my book, or have followed my commentaries, you know this is what I've been expecting. You see, I've long suspected that an American and UN controlled Iraq may become the end-times Babylon of the book of Revelation. This is the Babylon that is destroyed by the Antichrist and his 10 kings in one hour with fire (Revelation 17: 16-18).

And you know what? In light of these recent reports, I think something may be going on with the Quartet we don't know about. No matter what they say publicly, I think these four major powers may have already cut deals over the Middle East -- deals destined to be broken.

Now it's just a matter of implementation.
