God is Seeking Truth-seekers

Today many people are wondering how the recent events in the Middle East fit into Bible prophecy. Some of these people are turning to the Internet for their answers. This is how they do it : they enter a search string (a few key words) into a search engine (a program that searches the Internet). Below are some examples of the search strings people have used who have ended up at my Web site:

  • end times peace in the middle east
  • middle east violence and prophecy
  • saudi peace plan bible
  • prophecy about middle east
  • end times
  • prophecy Jerusalem temple Arafat
  • thr truth about the bible
The search string that most caught my attention was the last one -- "'thr' truth about the bible." It had a mistyped word in it. And since my site mainly deals with Bible prophecy, I wondered why the search engine delivered this person to my Web site. There was nothing in this person's search string about Bible prophecy.
Later I noticed an error on my site. As I was correcting the error, I recalled the mistyped word in that search string. It contained the same error. So, I thought, that's why the search engine found my site. My site was the only one on the whole Web with the same strange word on it-- "thr."

I again thought about the words in the last search string. The person who entered them was looking for truth -- the truth about the Bible. And, because of an identical accident made by two people, this person's inquiry was sent to my site for the answer. I couldn't help but wonder if this was not by chance-- if it was God's doing.

You see, God is seeking truth-seekers. A good example of this is found in the story about the woman at the well. A woman happened to come to a well for water where Jesus was sitting. After Jesus began a conversation with her, the woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, and you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship."

Jesus answered, "You worship that which you do not know, for salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshippers." (John 4:19-23 New American Standard Bible).

Here Jesus not only started a conversation, but He also led a woman to where she could find her answers about salvation. In other words, because this woman was seeking truth, God was seeking her.

Back to that last search string-- the truth about the Bible. What is the truth about the Bible? The Bible is the Word of God. How do I know? Because the Bible prophecies can prove to the honest seeker that the Bible is the Word of God. That is why I have a Web site and write a weekly column. I want to share this knowledge with as many people as I can.

And what does the Bible say that is so important to know? It says Jesus died on the cross and rose again so we can have salvation by believing in Him. The Apostle John said, "This is the true God and eternal life." (1 John 5:20).

So, if you're among those people today who are seeking truth, the Truth is seeking you.
