Spiritual Walk with Christ

Postby habakkuk15 on Wed Apr 07, 2004 7:47 pm

Dear fellow prayer warriors,
Jesus said one of the signs of His soon and imminent Return would be "the love of many shall wax cold." Matthew 24:12 and "Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:8

However way one would interpret this verse, I think there is a personal application. For me, it is that I have to guard my heart from falling away from my Lord. It is not my desire to fall, and I am totally committed to what Jude 24 says: Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy...

But it is the case that, I feel this tug on my heart and almost a dulling to lead me away from my Lord. With all my heart, I desire to stay true.

Please pray for me and any others who are experiencing this to stay true to God. I also desire that my life will touch others with God's love and show people the way to salvation in these last days.

I will pray for you as well.

Love in Christ,
Respectfully,
You are guarding your heart Johnny, just by admitting you are weak! God bless you and I will pray for you.
Dear prayer warriors

Postby habakkuk15 on Tue Apr 20, 2004 5:57 pm

I still would ask you all to pray for me, and not for me only.

I feel myself to be under great personal spritual attack. I feel that I am being sifted and a great pressure is being exerted to take my eyes off of Jesus. I know that the enemy is trying to sideline me from being effective for God.

I share with you my brothers and sisters (mainly sisters), as I know that you are faithful and that you always come to the prayer and praise chapel.

I went on my trip to try to clear my head, but I seem to be in this spiritual malaise. I know that I am not the only one. i sense a general tone of depression on the board, and others have confided to me, that they, too, feel this way.

I feel that the enemy is trying to steal our joy.

I feel that as prophecy watchers, we have a tendency to see all that is wrong in the world. It is as there is a huge asteroid imminently to strike the earth with a huge and devastating impact, but all the world is oblivious. But we with our prophecy telescopes are constantly searching the skies, and we see this huge asteroid. In fact, the asteroid fills the view of the telescope. It looks so huge, and it is all we can see,

Yet the world is oblivious.

I think many on the board are seeing the image of the end times destruction, so intensely, we too, are oblivious. We are oblivious to Jesus.

I feel the burden so strong, it is almost a physical pain.

But the more one pours out, the more we need Jesus to replenish us.

So many on the board are disenfranchised. They do not have a church. They have been burned out by false shepherds. Some have been run out of the church for standing up for the truth. They are disaffected. They have pain.

And we see the apostasy and the apathy and it is a spirit that attaches itself like tics on a dog. Then it sucks the life out of us, too.

I tell you now that I am at a low ebb and I need your prayers.

I know that when one feels this way, that it is then we need to break out and praise our God.

I do praise my God. He has never let me down. And I know that whatever happens He is victorious.

In Y'shua's love
Respectfully
Your despair

Postby brmcandy on Tue Apr 20, 2004 7:21 pm

Johnny, I feel your despair. I have gone through this so many times. I think we get overwhelmed by everything that is happening. I want you know know I have great regards for you. I see so much love and devotion in you, you have a good heart! Please don't feel insignificant, you really add a lot to this board. I for one so appreciates the freshness in your posts. Besides.......The Lord never seems to let us quit, we just get beat up pretty bad when we try to give up, believe me, I have tried. I just become a little more humble when I return.
despair

Postby rsquared on Wed Apr 21, 2004 1:36 am

Hey Johnny,
As you said, the enemy is always there looking for an opening into our hearts and minds. Every day we are bombarded with instances where we can worry or say something not nice to a spouse or child or co-worker. That old count to ten rule needs to be used more each day.

I thank you for your wonderful comments and prayers. They are always uplifting.

Mrs. H said something in a past post that I had not really thought about before. I hope I get this right, because I want my comments to be positive. If I am confused please correct me. When we feel that we or our opinions are not worth while or are not important to God then we are actually pointing to ourselves and not to Jesus. We are just specks of dust on the face of the earth, but we are really important to God. Each one of us has a special place in his heart and he watches over each of us individually. It is hard to understand how he does this, but he does. So, when you feel down about something just remember how special you are to God and let his light shine through you again.

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Peace
