“David” is the small Alabama town of Sylvania, population 1,800. “Goliath” is the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation. The Freedom From Religion Foundation sent a letter to the town demanding that they remove Bible verses that were posted on four welcome signs. They said the signs were unconstitutional.
“Sylvania Welcomes You,” the signs read. “Ephesians 4:5 – One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.”
