2 young men need salvation

Abba Father please continue to send workers into the fields of the lives we ernestly intrust to You....Adam, Todd, Nathaniel. Draw them by Truth, give their lives a new direction and purpose as the days grow short. May they know Jesus in a way that is undeniable. :praying:

I was able to have another little talk yesterday with Nathan. I don't know how it got started but in the end he said something about not being able to understand the language they used in the bible so I told him I would get him something that is written in todays language. Now any suggestions?
He claims he will read it.

And back to the signs and proofs he is always throwing out that he would need to see in order to believe that the bible isn't just made up by men in general... :roll:

As to not being able to understand the bible, IMO (and this won't wash with everyone here), maybe getting a plain reading version of the bible would help? Many strongly believe we should only use the King James, and so forth, and there are variances in some words in other translations which do create a bit of an issue, but overall, some of the easier to read versions would help someone just starting out who just needs to read it and work on their confidence in understanding.

Also, blue letter bible (and I'm sure most bible websites, bible gateway, etc) will have commentaries on specific scriptures.

Let us keep praying that he will continue to talk about what his issues are, because it's those same issues, wrapped in our sinful and prideful nature, which support us in our continued choices to stray and stay away. When the Holy Spirit is gently tugging us, on the inside, and from the other side, we aren't comfortable continuing to lean on our excuses to stray....and that is when good things happen.....so, I am encouraged here!!!!!!

Lisa, I have been praying for you brother for a long time now, I do hope he comes to the knowledge of the Truth, and knows Jesus finally as his Lord and Savior. I have added Adam to my prayer list, as well as Nathaniel. Time is short, I hope that God will open their eyes, and soften their hearts.

Another discussion yesterday that left me feeling so low.

If I had only one wish it would be that my son would come to know Jesus before he leaves this world. Surely God hears our prayers. :cry:

He did however say that if I would get him a bible he can understand that he would read it. So I am definately getting him a NIV bible for Christmas. Just praying that by hearing (reading) the Word, that he will come to accept Christ as his personal Savior.

Dear Heavenly Father, those of us that believe in you and have family members that do not, we ask that you would not give up on them...that you would honor our request to see them saved before they leave this world. Please look down upon Todd, Adam and Nathan and have mercy until they wake up, in Jesus's Holy name we ask, amen.

My brother is softening just a little around the edges, but I believe he still thinks I am just a charismatic or zealous Christian. He has no idea right now, he just doesn't!!! GOD IS REAL !!! JESUS IS REAL !!!

There are a lot of different people witnessing to him in different ways now. I know he pays attention to me, and the love between us has blossomed very strong since I was saved. In some things, I live by example, in some things, I live by spoken witness, in some things, I live by having a negative reaction to it, in some things, I say the unpopular thing, and everyone squirms, but all, honestly, remember I said it. Overall.....I can see that as days turn to weeks turn to months.......there is every reason for me to truly have hope that the Lord is working in him.....and I will just keep praying........

for my loved ones, and for yours.
