Dessert and snow....I think this is the first time I've seen the two words in one sentence.

Reminds me of the movie The Seventh Sign with Demi Moore - one of the anomalies that pointed to the end times was snow in the desert...

Not the first time this has happened, folks. Sorry. Happens in Arizona, New Mexico area every other year.

Not to mention that the Atacama area historicly used to be a watershed, as well as a decent sized body of water. This is just one of those things that happens in the cycle of the Earth.

As we don't live near a desert, and as I don't recall the news mentioning snow in the desert, I found this to be "different." Seems like it's just different for someone whose never heard of it. Perhaps it's newsworthy this time due to the particular aridness of the desert that is being hit at this time? What makes this one newsworthy?

In the video, they say this is the most snow in 20 years. So, it's not that rare.

Our here, in the Mojave Desert, it snows not infrequently. And every great once in a while, there's a major snowstorm that makes the news.

I'd love to have some snow, right about now.

Praise the Lord for a beautiful day here today !

Laney, You would not have wanted to be around me last week. I was singing"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." non stop. In the winter time, I can add clothes, but in the summer, I can only remove so much. I love the snow, as long as it doesn't get dangerous. The only thing that kind of heat is good for, is swimming and boating.
