Carrot juice is a good base, for adding other things to... so green foods to help support his cells added to the carrot juice will be essential, and he can sweeten it with stevia or apple juice, until it is palatable to him. Also, a solid barley grass juice powder like "Barley Max" or "Just Barley" will provide him with a huge energy boost at a cellular level.

If i was in his shoes, and wanted to keep it simple... I would make carrot and red beet juice, and add the barley juice powder to that, or I would buy "Trio Max", which has carrot, barley, alfalfa, and red beet juice powder all in 1 drink powder, and drink 5 or more 8 Oz. glasses of that every day...

I know how rough it is... our parents generation just won't let go of their overwhelming faith in modern medicine and doctors, and all we can do is hope and pray that we can mitigate any damage that they might do.

I am praying that your father will have the fortitude to stand up to his doctor and insist on his being allowed to support himself nutritionally while undergoing chemo. I am praying for a nutritionally enlightened doctor for your father, and if it is within his will that the great physician intervene and heal.

Yeah BC it is tough trying to get my folks to see that some doc's do not have the best interest of the patient at heart when the standard medical treatments don't work. To some doctors it's the medicine or nothing. We do have my Dad on some really good pro-biotics specifically for chemo patients, but everything we tell my mom who was a registered dietitian for 40 yrs she tells me that they have to get approval from the doctor before my Dad can take any suppliment. The good news is that they have my Dad on TPN during the chemo. I know there is a risk of infection but he is not eating right now and the TPN is the only caloric intake he is getting right now.

As a dietician, your mom knows a lot. You gotta respect that... but you also have to understand that she has been indoctrinated into a system, a way of thinking and acting that is designed to keep her in legal compliance.

Because your Mom has been programmed to defer to doctors... you have to get her looking at the right doctors.

So, If you can... get her looking at Dr. Joel Fuhrman, MD. He is out of Flemmington NJ. His books, Eat to Live, and Eat for Health are a good place to start, as well as everything she can find on his website to help her support him through this as best she can.

I believe that Doctor Fuhrman is both a medical doctorate and also holds a doctorate in nutrition.

That is the only way I know to overcome the whole "white lab coat" worship in the older generation. They have to be exposed to people in those lab coats that will teach them and turn them onto what they need.

Father in heaven, once again, we come before you asking that the soul of this precious father be preserved at any cost. If it is within your will to intervene and heal we seek this blessing. If you would use natural means to heal, we ask that you provide the most effective means, and the doctor to support him. We ask this in, by, and through the precious name and blood of your son Jesus. Let it be done.

Thanks Sis same here! :hugs: As an update seems that the 1st Chemo treatment is helping. My Dad seems to be feeling a little better even going on short walks, and doing things around the house. The doc did a blood test and told my Dad that everything looks promising, so Praise God! My Dad has his second round of Chemo starting on Monday. Thanks for your continued prayers and support everyone!

Thanks to everyone for your prayers. My Dad went through the 2nd Chemo treatment this past Mon/Tues. He is feeling pretty weak, and has lost a little more weight. The Doc is going to take him off TPN which is just about the only nourishment he is getting right now. The reason for that is they are worried about infection from the pick line, but I know that many people have stayed on TPN throughout their Chemo treatment. I will be talking to the Dr this week. Bless You All!

Thanks for your prayers. My Dad starts his 3rd infusion of Chemo today. The first 5 days after the Chemo treatments are the worst for him. I pray God take away the nausea, and dizziness, and fatigue that come along with this treatment. Blessings to you all.

I haven't posted on My Dad's condition in a while, but wanted to update everyone, and ask for continued prayer for my family. My Dad fought this cancer for 1 1/2 years, and now his health is at the point that his Doctor is taking him off his 4th round of chemo. He is entering the pain management stage and finally hospice. I am just asking for prayer that God would help me to continue to be a comfort to both my Mom and Dad right now. Blessings.

My Dad passed away last Sunday night to go Home with the Lord. Just a couple of hours prior to his death he sat up in bed and kissed my mom on the cheek and told her that he loved her and not to worry, that he was going Home! Thank you for all your prayers. Please cont to pray for my Mother Mary who is having a difficult time right now with overwhelming grief and never ending bills that are coming, and how to deal with them.

Dearest Yeshua,

Thank You for taking him home to be with You. Thank You for the confirmation that Dr D and his family received regarding his dad's destination. Lord, You are mighty to save! Please be with them through the coming days. Please work out all the details and financials. May they see You all around them in the comfort of their friends and family. Love them through Lord. Thank You.

Dr. D,
I am so very happy that you will one day see your precious dad again! I'm sad you are separated now but look-up and forward to that future reunion in the presence of Our Lord. Peace to you this day. SS :hugs:
