Christian Persecution in the U.S. Poll

Hi all, I just wanted to pose a question as to what would you have to see in order to believe that Christians and Christianity are being persecuted here in the U.S.?

What would be the mental tripwire for you in terms of being able to believe that this is taking place?

Once it starts, what plan of action, if any, would you implement to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your personal property?

Yeah the Christian persecution starts around the X-mas season every year and is reported on primarly by Bill O on fox news as the secular left wages its hateful campaign at shopping centers near................... well no one Ive ever met. But it happens and the ratings are usually through the roof.

Sara Palin is a good example of Christian persecution. The attacks against her and her family are fierce and very mean spirited. Conservative women in the public arena who are pro life generally are treated much more harshly than others. Although many Catholics are pro life, most are not born again. We supported a pro life organization made up, I found out later, of mostly Catholics. They blasted Sara Palin over something really stupid ( I forget what it was ) and so I wrote them and rebuked them for speaking of a sister in Christ the way they did and told them I would never support them unless they publicly apologized.

Tim Tebo, former quarterback of the Florida Gators and outspoken Christian, was criticized more harshly at times than other players. Some of it could be justified, but some that I saw and heard could not.

I can't substantiate this, but I believe many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are not promoted in their jobs because of their faith.

We need to keep in mind what Jesus said when men shall revile us and say all manner of things against us. They said the same things about the prophets. Great shall be our reward in heaven.

We should try not to offend anyone and we should overcome evil with good.

Some teasing and UNFAIR actions is hardly a case for REAL persecution IMO. The Foxes Book of Martyrs should be required reading for all Christians to bring clarity and understanding of what REAL persecution is.

No, we are not being even remotely close to being persecuted............yet............but soon I think.

In comparison to how America thought of conservative Christians 150 years ago, If we look at how Christians are treated today, I think we are definitely quite far down that slippery slope.

If you think Sarah Palin has been treated badly only for being an idiot and a pawn, then you haven't been paying attention. Her religion and her conservativism has been front and center bulls-eye for most of the bashing.

I don't believe the Christians in America will suffer Physically......as much as just by Words....
Peresecuted by Words......
I believe we are like in the days of Noe's ...

Matt. 24:36....But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven...But My Father Only...

This gives the idea that we will be living our normal ways.....and know not until he comes...

Now in other countries.......those that worship idols and false gods.....when they become a Christian.
They suffer with their lives......and are suffer Now Today, This very Hour.....Persecution....Physically and even unto death...

We see the False Teachers, False Christ, False Prophets......very popular in America

The Trigger to me is.......
When ye therefore shall see the Abomination of Desolation....spoken by Daniel the Prophet,
Stand in the Holy Place, (whosoever readeth, let him understand:)

This is the sign we need to see and Understand...
Then let them which be in Judea flee into the Mountains:

These scriptures indicate....immediately get out of Israel....Immediately

There will be wars and rumours of wars ....but the end is not yet...

This Generation has Seen Wars all over the world.....I was born during World War II.....and all my life we have had wars.....but this war, that is to bring on the end.....is the War that begins at Jerusalem.....

This New Blood Covenant is how we are Saved.....without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin.. We have A New Covenant Blood Covenant....a New Covenant with Jesus the Promise Son of God

This is where the Christians will be persecuited.......and killed....
Many shall be tried with fire.....

This is those that have fallen away from the Covenant we have with Jesus.....he has intelligence with them...
He investigates the Christians the Believers.....those that have forsaken the Holy Covenant....

31....And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall POLLUTE the SANCTUARY OF STRENGTH....and shall take away the DAILY SACRIFICE....and they shall Place THE ABOMINATION THAT MAKETH DESOLATE......

Jesus said.....when you see the AOD stand in the HOly Place......Get out of Israel...flee to the mountains....this is going to effect the whole world......this is the time Jesus said would be worse then any time since man.....but for the elects sake this time will be shortened......

this is when the doors are shut....the Daily Sacrifice is taken away.....no one can be saved.....the door is shut..

Today, every religion except for Christianity is celebrated and promoted by the press. Only Christianity is vilified. What is fashionable in speech today, will become acceptable in action tomorrow.

Haven't read Martyrs Mirror. No doubt Christianity is vilified but true persecution isn't here yet IMO, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Hi there,

Viewing it from a certain perspective I may tend to agree with that to a degree. How ever, she was attacked on the issue of faith not becuse of the faith but because her faith was used and promoted to endorse her candidacy in an election that was no doubt historic. Regardless of the outcome of that election it was an election of first times. The right was beating the war drum around Bushes lies concerning the war on terror and the left was calling for even more government involvement in domestic issues. No doubt the media promotes an anti Christian bias, but the average Joe on most streets I would presume does not endorse this view point. She used her faith to attempt to make herself appear the better candidate in a race she quite frankly had no business being in and in fact was notified of her candidacy only moments before while having never even met the presidential candidate. She got called out on the carpet for it, fell on her face. Her faith, if a politician actually truely has any has been a rallying cry to portray her as a victim to well meaning but mislead Christians ever since.
