Mark Driscoll is Posttrib/Prewrath

I got to talk to him a little bit after church and in conclusion... he believes that we will go through the tribulation but be spared from God's wrath.
He doesn't want to be branded as a pretrib or posttrib because he says that "rapture" was just invented in the 1800's.
He did say that he is a premillenialist. He's heard of Van Kampen but hasn't read his book on the subject.
So that makes two prominent pastors so far that I know that isn't pretrib. John Piper being the other.

Hey Finaldash, thanks for sharing this.
I noticed online his Revelation sermon series from 2003
and that he skipped chapter six. Hummmm, I wonder why.
Too controversial maybe?
Well it's good to hear he is working on it.
Maybe when the time is right he will preach it.
I imagine the time will come for Mars Hill Church
when the fruit is ripe for the harvest.

I believe that's happened with Dr. James MacDonald.
The timing was just right for the message.

Thanks Teyve, I'll check Dr. James MacDonalds series on revelation. I didn't bother to check out Driscoll's Revelation series on the assumption that he was pretrib. Snce he's not maybe I can check them out and start drilling him on them lol.
Mars Hill has definitely a strong and unique calling here in liberal Seattle. I believe he will preach on Revelation again after he's done with the Luke series in 2012. In a couple of weeks he'll be preaching on the latter part of Luke 12.... Can't wait. All of this can fe found on the Mars Hill website and click on Luke.
