Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

This is one to watch. I've always thought that the climate issue would be the catalyst for the one world government. The Nobel Peace Prize was nothing more than a small bribe to ensure Obama's cooperation. After all, you can't be the winner of the Peace Prize, then not sign this treaty.

food for thought

On October 26 and 27, the Club of Rome will convene in Amsterdam for its 2009 annual Global Assembly. This year’s Assembly
is the last of seven international conferences of the Club of Rome in the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference
in Copenhagen in December.
Keynote speakers like NASA’s James Hansen and former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev will
address the interdependency of the climate, energy and economic crisis and the opportunities they offer for sustainable growth.
Participate and join master classes of some of the world’s most influential thinkers and achievers. Together we will write the
Amsterdam Declaration, proposing key ingredients for a Global Green New Deal, as a last message to Copenhagen.

Amsterdam is a European cradle of innovation in trade and finance. Once the wealthiest city in the world, it is the place where
the first stock exchange was created.
Amsterdam is closely associated with a notion of Golden Age – and the city experienced its
golden age more than once, due to its innovative spirit, revolutionary ideas and openness towards the world. In a breathtaking
waterfront setting, we will share inspiration, discuss astounding ideas and develop solutions for the world most vital challenges.

Wouter van Dieren, host of the conference: “The Club of Rome, together with the World Political Forum and Globe international, at its 2009 Global Assembly will address climate change, energy and economic recovery in close connection. This year’s Assembly is the last of seven stepping stones, seven global meetings, starting in Turin early 2008, in the run-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference being held in Copenhagen in December 2009, on which depends so much.”

once again, the Club of Rome feels the need to intervene on the global stage and launched a three year, integrated programme of international research and consultation: “A New Path for World Development”. The 2009 annual Club of Rome Global Assembly unites many of the bricks of the New Path that are emerging all around the globe and invites everyone to come and help lay out the first stretch.

We are betting the very future of our planet and species, a stake no poker player would ever consider. We are writing cheques, we can no longer cash. A new path of economic and social progress must be adopted which is compatible with the environmental imperatives and limits of the planet.

The financial crisis and the consequent economic slowdown provide an exceptional opportunity to move towards new patterns of more sustainable and equitable growth. “This economic crisis must mark the beginning of a new sustainable development path that has been long overdue,” says keynote speaker Mikhail Gorbachev [2]. Only through new ideas, new partnerships, new mechanisms and radical institutional change the answers to the unprecedented challenges ahead can be found. Remember Einstein’s words: “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

Barcelona Climate Change Talks 2009

World leaders have called for a comprehensive, ambitious and fair international climate change deal to be clinched at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 15) in Copenhagen, 7-18 December 2009.

The process leading to Copenhagen was launched in Bali, December 2007, when all Parties agreed on the Bali Action Plan - a two-year process leading to an agreed outcome on climate change action in Copenhagen.

I don't think they'll have trouble getting him to sign anything, Peace Prize or not. However if I understand correctly, all treaties have to be ratified by the Senate. So there's still hope.

You should be able to watch some of it through the web site, after the fact:

Coming in December: World government
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=113848

This treaty will create an international bureaucracy with the authority to regulate energy use. This entity would, in fact, be a political institution with the power to govern. In other words, the treaty will create a world government to administer global governance.

Lord Christopher Monckton created a tidal wave across the Internet with excerpts from his Oct. 14 presentation to the Minnesota Free Market Institute. He, too, has read the negotiating text and says without hesitation that this treaty will create a world government. He goes further, much further, to explain that while this treaty will have no impact on global climate, it will have a great impact on the global economy.

Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.

This intrigues me as the element carbon is 6th on the periodic table and contains 6 protons, 6 electrons, and 6 neutrons.

WOW!
Betsy

Persecution is coming. Of COURSE it is. The only question is, will we remember that it is a privilege to bear His reproach? Will we count it all joy that we are counted worthy to suffer with Him? Will we love? Or will we get belligerent and hateful toward our enemies, in defiance of our Lord's command and example?

http://www.olivetreeviews.org/radio/mp3/ October 24, 2009 - Hour 1
Jack Kinsella and Jan talk about the forthcoming Copenhagen climate meetings which have a hidden agenda: Using climate change as the basis for uniting the world. President Obama will sign the climate bill which could launch global government eventually. A stunning clip is played of Lord Christopher Monckton who is sounding this alarm. They also discuss the war on conservative media by the Obama administration.

I have 14 inches of snow on my back porch. All of it has fallen in little more than 24 hours, and the snow isn't expected to stop for another 18 hours or so.

Guess that doesn't matter in Copenhagen. Wonder what kind of weather they're having...
