According the Karaite website, the new moon was sighted at 6:42 pm Israel time today (it's past 11 pm there right now). Sundown tomorrow in Israel is 6:37 pm their time, which is 10:25 am Central time in the U.S.

When is the shofar blown? The last trump, I mean...? Isn't that the last day of the 2 (sort of) day feast?
In God I trust,
Toni

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Php 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,
1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

So another new year, another no rapture..
I am slowly backing away from Prophecy..
I am 52 and now am looking to live another 20 years or so and die..
When ever The Lord takes me I know no matter what where I am going..

Keep your eyes on the sky...You never know....Stay sober and prepared in your spirit because regardless of the exact timing, it won't be long now...

mrgravyard49,
At least wait another 24 hours before giving up. If the moon was just sighted today, we need to wait for the last trumpet to blow. Even if no rapture, I imagine we will see some very big happenings this week around the world.

...and along with what the others said I have read from 2 different authors that we really should look at 7 year chunks (my language not theirs) because of Jubilee and Sabbath years, ?

and the next to really look at is 2016 and next 2023, so that makes me feel some relief,

its comical how on pins and needles we can be, I am so right with you (52 too) but come on hang in there,

I am learning though about the Jewish traditions, enjoyed a little honey and apples for Rosh Hoshanah,

so don't go. :a2:
Remember in Algebra I how you always had to show your work? That's the idea James is getting at here.

James 3:13-18 (New Living Translation)

13 If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don't cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

So, here's the extra credit.

17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18 And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

This is 411God.

You know... I can't wait for the rapture to happen too... can't wait to get on board the heavenly chariot for a good long "holiday" among good people like yourself.

If the Lord should delay for another 20 years, then I pray for all of us to have good, strong health and sound mind to serve our God faithfully all the way.

Blessings,
KA

My little sister still isn't saved. Neither is my son. There is much yet which I hope and pray the Lord will do before removing His church and bringing the end of the age. I want them there with me.

Meanwhile, I'll watch the skies . . .

Sigh... so it is with everyone of us here too I guess... I am really questioning both my parents' salvation although at one time, I thought I saw some evidence of regeneration within them... Now, being in a land far away from home, I can only do that much to encourage them...
