Though we doubt most Americans realize it, this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history. Liberals would dominate the entire government in a way they haven't since 1965, or 1933. In other words, the election would mark the restoration of the activist government that fell out of public favor in the 1970s. If the U.S. really is entering a period of unchecked left-wing ascendancy, Americans at least ought to understand what they will be getting, especially with the media cheering it all on.

Informative article. But it fails to mention the possibility of 3 Supreme court judges who could possibly resign, or the 44 appellate positions that will need to be filled in the next 4 years. All are lifetime appointments. Bush appointed one third of those on the appellate courts now, all conservative. The supreme court only needs one more conservative, to be a majority.
Before oil skyrocketed, Pelosi`s energy committee was recommending a 50 cent tax on gasoline. Since prices are now down........

God had King David anointed to be king of Israel, even knowing beforehand he would be a murderer and a polygamist. All for the good of Israel.
After prayer and fasting, if God wants me to cast my vote in favor of this country being thrown away, then I will do that. If not, I will vote for McCain. :a2:

I know it seems like the end of the world for many of us politically, but keep in mind we survived 1933 and 1965. Sure govt got bigger in those times, and it's going to get bigger no matter who gets in, except Ron Paul. The end of the world as we know it may not happen the way or within the time frame we think it will. The time has come to begin praying in earnest for the Will of God to be done in our nation. I don't want what we deserve, I want Grace and
Mercy to come to the forefront so all may see the marvelous work of our Lord. Lord have Mercy on us all.

God Bless

Granted, we survived 33 and 65. But I believe we are on the tipping point. There will be no going back. There will be a RAPID acceleration of evil if the ultra liberals get total power this time around.

The time has come to begin praying in earnest for the Will of God to be done in our nation. I don't want what we deserve, I want Grace and
Mercy to come to the forefront so all may see the marvelous work of our Lord. Lord have Mercy on us all.

 Just an observation from an old guy that has been socially and politically aware since about 1960 (sound like my parents used to!). This time it will be different. In the 60's and even the 70's there was still a national consciounse. Beginning in about 1967 an accelleration of a downward moral spiral can be observed (this was the same year that Jerusalem was retaken). I believe the clock for the end of the time of the Gentiles began running faster. Since then we have "legalized" abortion and 50 million dead citizens have seared the national spirit. Sexual deviants once consigned to the shadows openly flaunt themselves, taunt people like us and openly curse and defy God. Our younger people have been shepherded through a culture of death and had thier patiotism and critical thinking skills beaten out of them with our public education system. They no longer possess the reasoning faculties to foresee unforeseen consequences of thier actions. There are exceptions of course but I am speaking in national generalities. Crime, every sort of sin, and monumental pride have spiraled through the roof. Can we come back from the edge? Possibly but only by a miracle. I fear the most blessed Republic in history has run out of miracles. God is patient but he is not mocked without repercussions. Other than that, everything is just peachy!! Maranatha!

I am only 31, but I can see it plain as day as well. I totally agree with you. Our nation needs to repent, and fast, and that is not going to happen with Obama, and I seriously doubt it would happen with McCain either. It does seem to matter what our leaders do and how they stand on things. From what I can tell in the Bible whenever Israel had a leader who walked with God and obeyed God, things were good for them, but when their leaders started heading down wrong paths, worshiping other gods and steering the Israelites away from the One True God, that's when things got bad for them. That's how it seems things are going for us. Well, it's been 40 years since Israel became a nation. It seems this is a very important time. If these aren't the end times we are living in, then I really just don't want to even imagine how bad the real end times would be. (Not tribulation mind you, just the sign of the time to show us the season, it is today as I believe it was in the days of Noah)
