First Stop for Shy Lurkers

Postby Jacob on Tue Sep 12, 2006 9:01 pm

Welcome to Fulfilled Prophecy.

We hope you become a fully fledged member of FP's growing community and join in with the discussions on this friendly forum.

If you're too shy or nervous and you don't know where to start or what to say, then feel free to post a small introduction here in this thread or you could just say Hi.

We all understand how nerve racking it is, because we've all been through the same.

FP is one big growing family and we want you to be a part of it.

This board rocks! So this thread should be sufficient peer pressure for you to stop and chat a while. Don'tcha think??

Not only will you get to speak your mind - Be Still makes the coolest Avatars and you don't even have to set them up yourself.

You're lurking....so you know this place is special... :alrighty: in more ways than one!

I was a lurker for two years...and now they can't shut me up! :blahblah:

I remember when I first came onto the board scene. I felt so unknowlegeable compared to all the other posters. But the more I conversed and learned, along with Bible study, the clearer it all became.

I encourage any lurkers to give it a shot! I'm glad I did and you are welcome here!

Out Of The Closet

Postby carchaser on Wed Sep 13, 2006 2:43 pm

Well I'll make it official. I've been posting for a while but never officially came out of the closet. So here I am it's official now. I've always been interested in bible prophecy but have never seemed to find anyone else interested in it. I'm so thankful the Lord led me here. Both my wife and I appreciate Herb's commentary. I work for a medical billing company and while doing so I always browse FP. Well there its official I'm out of the closet.

As Jacob said,

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! :wavewelcome: :wavewelcome:

I can't think of a better place where you can grow in your Biblical knowledge, grow spiritually, and meet new friends. This is the place were we can gather together to study prophecy, study God's Word, clear up theological questions, and to read Herb Peter's insights on what's happening.

So, come on in, and introduce yourself, then go out and invite all your friends.

Your brother in Christ,

Cleveland,
The old tmer.

I was a lurker for about a year or so. I didn't figure I had much to offer since so many of the members have such greater knowledge about Biblical prophecy than I do. I grew up in church. My great-grandfather was the pastor when I was a small child, and his dad had been the pastor before that. But apart from one pastor for a few years in my late teens and early twenties, prophecy wasn't emphasized very much. I became more interested in end time prophecy after 9/11 and came here, like many others probably have, to try and learn more. After the board changed over to phpBB, I finally created a profile and later, dove in with my first post. Before I even realized it, I was over 100 posts! This board has been a real blessing and I'm learning every day from the information here.

Personally, I didn't lurk long....I joined right in...cuz that is just how I am...I hope no one out there would feel like they are not knowledgeable enough to join in on conversations...I am NOT knowledgeable AT ALL....but by joining in and asking questions...and making statements is how we all learn...
Help us to reach out and witness and express our LOVE of Jesus and our interest in prophesy!!! :wavewelcome:

If I can post anyone can post. I knew not one bible story until I was 30 years old. I struggle with memorizing scripture and try to maintain how sarcastic I really can be. Most times I will not debate due to my lack of knowledge unless it's something I have walked through, then watch out.

I have been around FP for about 4 or 5 years but still feel like a newbie. I am sure when people read my post they laugh at my way of looking at life but I dont care. I learned along time ago that my opinion is just that and everyone has one so lets here yours.

If you feel led to post then by all means stand your ground.

Whats that saying ........If you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything ...

Look forward to your post, your humor, and your wisdom.

Very interesting. I am telling everyone I can about Herbs site and information. I knew about Solanas for a while, but nothing like I have learned since finding this place. I am excited to be living in this age. Hope I never offend anyone here...I am rather opinionated at times.

Hi Glovzz.....

I feel comfy here already.

I'm so happy and thrilled that you feel this way. I hope this will always be so.

We are a big happy family here. We're not perfect, but God is still working on us. And every once in a while someone gets a little grumpy, but we make up and keep going.

So, once in a while, let us know you are still around.

Love you,

If you post in a thread, you will automatically be notified by email when another member adds to the thread. (This assumes you have checked that preference in your profile.)

If you do not participate in a thread, but would still like to stay in touch with what's being posted, then you can click on the "watch this topic/thread" so you will be notified when others post in it.

Hope that helps.

Hello, I guess you can't really call me a lurker, I only lurked for a couple hours here on the forums before I decided to join. Although I've been keepin up with Herb's news links for several months now. I like to talk about the Bible, and prophecy, and music. That's why I love radio communications so much, I don't have my ham licsense yet, but someday soon hopefully.
I hope ya'll can help me learn somethin else about the Bible, I want to learn and understand the Bible with all the help I can get.
(note: I'm from Arkansas, so sometimes I type like I talk, and leave off the "g")

:wavewelcome: simplemod400! I trust you'll find many great discussions about the Bible and prophecy as well as some great fellowship with other believers who have a common bond.

Though I'm not a ham operator, I do know several of them down here in Fl. and at one time I was fairly proficient in morse code. I learned some in helping a ham study for his test. I don't remember lots of it, but I found it a very interesting challenge. Hams are very valuable in SW Fl. as a backup for communications during hurricanes or other catatrophies.

I hope ya'll can help me learn somethin else about the Bible, I want to learn and understand the Bible with all the help I can get.
