The Audacity of Pope

Over the last five years, we’ve had a chance to evaluate the “audacity of hope.” There has been stirring rhetoric about nuclear disarmament and building bridges to the Muslim world combined with disappointing policies on drone wars, climate change, and human rights in places like Bahrain. In less than a year, Pope Francis has offered similarly stirring rhetoric. If this “audacity of pope” not only shakes up the Catholic Church (Vatican III, anyone?) but also helps to reframe globalization and geopolitics (a tall order indeed), then the Nobel committee might start thinking about awarding its first peace prize to a pontiff. ... acity-pope

Just a thought, but could this be seen as a falling away, even from truth once held. Not an advocate, because this erosion had its beginning in the introduction and retention of leven hatched by the spirit and principalities we war against.

The problem of following the flesh has been pushed on the institutions of man instead of reckoning it dead on the cross and made alive unto God through Christ Jesus our Lord. Substituting the headship of Christ we demand those who lead us be taught of men from learning establishment. Through covetousness they with feigned words have made merchandise of us: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Nothing is hid from God, nor is there any were you can go that he is not there. With fear and trembling let us work out our salvation.
