North American Economic and Security Community to be established by 2010:

...the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity. We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that ‘‘our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complementary.’’ Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly, and safe. Its goal will be to guarantee a free, secure, just, and prosperous North America." ... _final.pdf

EU Trade Chief: Free Trade Deal with GCC by Year-end

European Union trade chief Peter Mandelson called Saturday for talks with the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council toward a final free trade deal with the Gulf Arab bloc after 18 years of negotiations.

"I believe that the technical level negotiations should take place without delay. I would invite GCC technical experts to come to Brussels next month," Mandelson told reporters after meeting with GCC finance ministers in Abu Dhabi.

He said the July negotiations would be a precursor to a ministerial-level meeting to be held after the summer that ould make a final decision on a free trade agreement (FTA), that has been under discussion for nearly two decades.

The GCC groups Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash, the UAE state minister for financial and industrial affairs, told reporters that an eventual deal with the EU "would have a profound impact on relations."

In principle, the GCC plans a common market in 2007 and a monetary union and a single currency by the start of 2010. However, a slew of political and economic differences among member countries ruled by powerful and sometimes competing dynasties has gotten in the way.

Over the past year Bahrain and Oman have signed FTAs on their own with the United States, and Washington is seeking similar deals with Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE.

Adballah, Abu Mazen, Olmert Agree on Jordan Valley Free Trade Zone
Amnon Barzilai, Petra 22 Jun 06 18:40

In their first meeting sponsored by Jordan, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had breakfast this morning in Petra with Jordanian King Adballah II and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen). The meeting was described as warm and friendly. The three leaders agreed to promote the establishment of a free trade zone in the Jordan Valley, east of Jenin, which will enjoy tax and export benefits. Olmert and Abu Mazen also agreed to meet within two weeks.

The participants at today's meeting discussed joint economic projects between Israel, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority. Olmert told Abdallah that he agreed to move the Eilat Airport, and merge it with the international airport that will be built in Aqaba. He also said he would promote the construction of a canal from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea. They also discussed joint copper mining at Timna and in Jordanian territory.

EU and Southeast Europe Move Closer to Single Aviation Market
May 8, 2006

The European Union (EU) and transport ministers of several southeast European partners (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro plus the U.N. Mission in Kosovo) as well as those of Iceland and Norway signed a political agreement to create a European Common Aviation Area (ECAA). The agreement provides for new market opportunities for the European aviation industry by creating a single market for aviation consisting of 35 countries and more than 500 million people. It will ensure high and uniform safety and security standards across Europe as well as uniformly applied competition rules and consumer rights.

The ECAA agreement will lead to harmonised standards, especially in the fields of aviation safety and security, and will ensure that the public's growing demand for air services is met adequately, limiting the number of incidents and delays. To assist in the improvement of standards in southeast Europe, the EU is financing more than 30 workshops, study visits and expert advice to all beneficiary countries in 2006; it will also continue to grant long-term assistance in order to achieve a true common aviation area by 2010.

China, ASEAN See Free Trade by 2010(27/10/04)

China and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) had agreed to completely remove tariffs on merchandise goods by 2010, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced Tuesday.

China and ASEAN delegates at a meeting in Beijing had agreed to eliminate the tariffs as the most important part of a proposed free-trade agreement, ministry spokesman Chong Quan said.

The agreement would be signed at a China-ASEAN leaders' summit scheduled next month, Chong said.

Both sides would start implementing the tariff reduction program from 2005 and completely eliminate the tariffs by 2010, Chong said.

I am currently teaching a class on Revelation at our Church and the Lord has helped me gain much understanding over the last month that goes hand in hand with this web-site. The Beast in Revelation chapter 17 is the demonic government that rebelled with Satan. it was literally Satan's government meant to overthrow God and His angels. When Satan lost the battle the government of fallen angels was sent into the Abyss while Satan and other fallen angelic followers were not inprisoned (thus the demonic presence of some on earth). This demonic government will come out of the Abyss and indwell the final form of Roman Empire. Remember there were 7 heads. Five have fallen (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medes/Persians, Greece) and all were gentile powers Lording thier power over God's people. One is...The Roman Empire of John's day. One is yet to come...the Revived Roman empire of the last days (The EU we now see rising before our eyes). The eighth (Satan's Demonic government) will come from the Abyss and indwell the 7th (revived Rome) and will be an eighth but will be of the 7. The 10 kings (Western EU) will give thier power to thie Demonic beast and the spokesman will be the "Mouth" of Revelation 13 (anti-christ).
We now have Gog-Magog war on the near Horizon, Kings of the East preparing for War, 7 year treaty perhaps in the works, The removal of Israel in the hearts of the kingdoms of the world, Wars and rumors of wars, 666 number associated with the leader of revived Rome, Possible new Mark of the Beast by 2010 with new Bar codes, Global markets everywhere, Survelence GPS systems tracking everything and the need for a strong leader to bring some peace and stabalization to this splintered and dangerous world. "When you see all these things begin to come to pass, look up for your redemption draweth neigh!" Amen!

The World at $100 A Barrel
Special Contribution By Alex Nosal

Two years ago in May of 2002, a group of international petroleum specialists met at Uppsala University in Sweden for a two-day conference to discuss the world's oil supplies. The result was a consensus that global supplies of crude oil will peak as early as 2010 (or earlier) and then start to decline, ushering in an era of soaring energy prices and economic upheaval.

EU looks to speed up digitisation of Europe's cultural heritage

"The European Commission has outlined measures which it says will help Members States better coordinate and accelerate the digitisation and online accessibility of their cultural heritage. Proposals range from setting up large scale digitisation facilities and national strategies to plans for the long-term preservation of and access to digital material.

Published on 25 August, the proposals are part of the Commission's overall strategy to make Europe's written and audiovisual heritage available on the Internet, as set out in its 'i2010: digital libraries' initiative. Building on the European Library (TEL), in which a number of European libraries already collaborate, by 2008 the European Digital Library could hold up to two million books, films, photographs, manuscripts, and other cultural works. By 2010, the library could have as many as six million digital works.

Through European Digital Library, users will be able to search in their mother tongue different collections from Europe's libraries, archives and museums without having to visit multiple sites. 'Our aim is to arrive at a real European digital library, a multilingual access point to Europe's digital cultural resources,' 9said Information Society and Media Commissioner Reding. 'It will allow, for example, Finnish citizens to easily find and use digital books and images from libraries, archives and museums in Spain, or a Dutchman to find historical film material from Hungary online.'"

Thank you, FarmerBoy and Farmer, for finding the following info.:

In the White Paper of May 2002, 42 European
banks and the European credit sector
associations declared that a full migration to
the SEPA would be achieved by the end of
2010. In March 2005, the EPC expressed its
conviction that a critical mass of transactions
will have migrated to the SEPA payment
instruments by 2010, such that the SEPA will
be irreversible. However, some banks and other
stakeholders have called this deadline into
question, stating that a full migration of
national to SEPA instruments/schemes by 2010
is unrealistic, and that the modernisation and
integration process of the retail payment
market may extend beyond that date. The
Eurosystem has thoroughly investigated these
objections and now considers that most of the
SEPA objectives, as they are defined in this
report, can be implemented by the (end of) 2010
deadline set by the banks in 2002.
It is possible
that some elements of the project, and in
particular those linked to infrastructure
changes and the complete phasing-out of
national instruments, will not be able to be
fully achieved by the end of 2010. However, it
is clear that the move has to be irreversible and
that the phasing-out of national instruments
should be well advanced at the end of 2010. In
the Third Progress Report, the Eurosystem put
forward a proposal whereby citizens and
commercial enterprises should be offered the
chance to use pan-European instruments, for
national and cross-border payments, as soon as
1 January 2008. This deadline has been widely
accepted by banking communities and now
constitutes an important milestone in the SEPA"

Solana to visit ME in effort to revive peace talks

European Union foreign ministers endorsed plans Tuesday to send EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana to the Middle East to assess efforts in trying to revive the stalled Middle East peace process.

Officials said Solana would visit Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, and meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during his trip next week.

"We don't see any forward movement for the time being," said German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, reflecting EU frustrations over the Palestinian Hamas-led governments refusal to meet international demands to renounce violence and recognize Israel.

The EU foreign ministers reiterated calls that Hamas form a unity government with Abbas' Fatah party, and called on "all Palestinian factions to end their internal strife" and resume coalition talks. "We are ready to normalize relations as soon as there is a government we can work with," said EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

Thank you for the info., Jerome.

Do you have a link and also, do you (or anyone else) know whether or not "religion," is a question that has ever been asked before on a census form?

If not, highly suspect (also, the U.S. census in 2010 will be done with handheld, GPS equipped computers; see calendar above, under "2010").

 On the last census, we did not answer all the questions that were our business alone. We will do the same this time. Especially if they ask what religion we are, won't answer. They never bothered us about our leaving things blank.

Appreciate all this information, especially about registering our animals. We have chickens. We will avoid it, that's silly. Can't understand why they would want that info. in the first place.

This 2010, is quite a revelation to us. You've compiled quite a list of happenings that will take place at that time. Don't think this is a coincidence at all. It's all coming together. Glad we're awake to this, so many others are asleep.

Am reposting info. from an FP thread, in case the thread eventually gets "buried:"

Was thinking about what would cause the 10 horns to give the a/c (whoever he is) power for exactly 1,260 days. If, indeed, the ENPI is the prophecied 7-year covenant, it might make sense that the time period of power for the a/c would also be based on the ENPI. (Note: Nowhere does scripture state that the first half of the 7-year covenant has to equal 1,260 days.)

12/31/13 - 1,260 days = 07/20/10, which is also Tisha B'Av (9th of Av) on the Jewish calendar:

Calculation results
From date: Tuesday, December 31, 2013
Subtracted 1260 days

Resulting date: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 ... d=1260&aw=

Tue. 20 July 2010 Tisha B'Av

Tisha B'Av, the Fast of the Ninth of Av, is a day of mourning to commemorate the many tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people, many of which coincidentally have occurred on the ninth of Av.

It would also be approximately 3 weeks into the 6-mo. Belgium presidencies of the EU and WEU (just preceded by Spain, Dr. Solana's native country; go to following link and click on "2. Presidencies" listed at top, left under "Membership and Organisation:" ). Note: Javier Solana's office, EU and NATO headquarters are located in Brussels, Belgium.

The AoD could theoretically take place in days previous, but power actually given by the 10 horns to the a/c exactly 1,260 days before the end of the ENPI (1/1/07-12/31/13).

2 cents.

[As an aside, based upon sightings of the new moon (and the month of abib barley, in 2010, to technically begin the Jewish year, based upon OT method, see Karaite website), believe Shavuot (Pentecost) in 2010 could possibly fall 30 days prior to 7/20/10, which might "tie in" with the spirit of the evil one falling to earth, and also the 1,290 days spoken of in Dan. 12:11. Curiously enough, 6/20/10 is also Father's Day: Link ]

Also, thanks to SavedbyGrace for pointing out that 1,335 days after 7/20/10 is 3/16/14, or Purim, the Jewish holiday that celebrates the deliverance of the Jews from extermination, as told in the Book of Esther.

Calculation results
From date: Tuesday, July 20, 2010
Added 1335 days

Resulting date: Sunday, March 16, 2014 ... d=1335&aw=

Sun. 16 March 2014 Purim

Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination.
