Actress Roseanne Barr is continuing her bid for the White House after
clinching the presidential nomination of the Peace and Freedom party.

Roseanne Barr ..... gosh that takes me back.

In the early 80s, as newlyweds, we used to watch her show in the UK on our little black and white portable TV. It was a comedy - family setting - I just remember one of the daughters was called Darlene (which I thought was really funny as that name had gone out of fashion here in the 60s). However, what really fascinated me was their wall mounted phone with the really long flex - Roseanne would be walking round her kitchen talking to someone. You didn't see those long flexes here, and I really wanted one!

Can it really be that was the same world we're in now? And what became of Darlene?
