Socialist Francois Hollande wins French presidency

French socialist Francois Hollande has won a clear victory in the country's presidential election.

Mr Hollande - who polled just under 52% of votes in Sunday's run-off - spoke of his pride at becoming president.

Admitting defeat, centre-right incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy wished "good luck" to Mr Hollande.

Suprise suprise, the gov't dependant french rejecting downsizing of gov't and fiscal responsibility and by electing this man, just showed their complete and total dependence on government even more. This guy has called for more spending, extension of gov't programs, end to austerity cuts, and...

I'll tell you what I think. This is a bad sign for our planet and it's man made governments. Soo many people seem to want someone or something to take care of them and their peace and security. OOPS, did I say that accidentally ? Just popped out, my fingers said it. It's getting closer to when Our Lord can put a hook in the jaws of satan, and draw him out.
