for you, dear sister.

After seven years of working and waiting, he woke up to find he had wed Leah instead of Rachel—the older sister instead of the girl of his dreams. But at the end of his life, when deciding where he would be buried, Jacob again had to choose between the two women. And this time, with eyes wide open, he chose Leah. Why? Because Leah produced a son whose name was Judah, from whom would come Yeshua, Messiah, Jesus.
So too, I have known people who have difficult marriages. However, they have developed, out of necessity, a deep walk with the Lord which never would have been developed if they had had an easier, simpler marriage. I know people who have hung in there and now say, “If I could do it all over again, I would willingly choose my husband or wife because our marriage has brought me to a richness with Jesus I never would have known had it been easier.”

Is it a believer married to an unbeliever?
What about a believer married to someone who claims to believe in Jesus but has zero interest in the things of God and doesn't really care about obeying Him or going to church?
Is it a mistake for someone who is spiritually minded to settle for someone who isn't because they check the box that says "Christian"

So on Saturday night, June 8th, I arrived home to my husband being in a rare, saddened mood.
He told me how he just hates it when I'm gone and he really hopes he dies before me because he won't make it if I'm not around. None of the kids were home and he was just sitting there pondering these thoughts. I tease him a bit about getting raptured someday (when the mood is right - and he laughs). Well, I thought I'd lighten the mood a bit and said,
"you know honey, the Lord could very well call me and the kids out of here tonight, tomorrow, or the next day in the Rapture, so you should probably get right with Him if you are worried about being left alone (said with a smile)."
He didn't really respond like normal. He just continued on with his thoughts saying he was sure he could take care of the kids OK but he'd really just end up curled up in a fetal position. I sat on his lap and suggested we say a prayer for him because what did he have to lose?
He said OK.![]()

Dear Jesus........... Dear Jesus,
Please be my King ............. Please be my King,
Help me get to know You more ............... Help me get to know You more,
Amen................. Amen
Trying not to be overly excited or freak out on him, I asked him if that was so bad to do. He said nope.
I asked if he was going to come to church with me tomorrow. He said nope. I said, no problem. Ready for dinner?
OK - I will take one precious day at a time.
22 years ago my husband answered an alter call on an Easter service when I was pregnant with our first child. I heard him say a prayer to Jesus then. Now, just days ago, I heard another prayer. I don't expect a drastic change but I am confident that Jesus has secured his soul. Oh happy day!
Dearest Yeshua,
Please help my husband to continue to soften towards You. Surround him with thoughts of You and people who know and love You as he goes about his day. Come to mind often. May he thirst to know You more. Sanctify his weary soul and help me stay softened to his spiritual needs at the right time and place. Thank You for saving him Lord! You are faithful and true! Loving You more and more Lord. Amen![]()

He is showing me compassion in ways he hasn't before, especially when it comes to God or my time with God. He even listens to my radio music (always Christian), asking me to turn it d0wn if he is on the phone but pretty much letting it play. I used to have to walk on such egg shells in this area!! HUGE praise! My continued prayer for him is that it is true and that Jesus has gotten through. Only HE knows and I choose to trust HIM and His timing for all things. Amen
