An environmental report issued by an agency of the United Nations last month has some critics sounding the alarm, saying it is a clarion call for "global governance" over how the Earth is managed.

The report, “21 Issues for the 21st Century,” from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Foresight Process, is the culmination of a two-year deliberative process involving 22 core scientists. It is expected to receive considerable attention in the run-up to the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, which will be held in Rio, Brazil, in June.

Stop the world. I want to get off.

you do realize if the world stops spinning, we all go flying off right...

wish granted.

on topic. 70% of the earths surface is water. Its ridiculous to think there is water shortages when all one has to do is build water treatment/purification plants in every country. Secondly there is no reason whatsoever there should be a shortage of food anywhere in the world. I read a article a long time ago, i think maybe here on this site even, that said, if the Sahara desert was to be irrigated and farmed, it could produce more than enough food for the entire worlds population.

Once gain, creating a crisis in order to exert control.

Ya know I was just thinking about that a few days ago.
If one side of the Earth was only facing the sun
and the other side never saw the sun...

Which led to thinkning about the time in biblical
history when the sun stood still for hours upon hours.
Did that mean that the Earth stopped spinning?
If so what happened to gravity??

“Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up
the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
Till the people had revenge upon their enemies.

Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven,
and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that,
before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.”
Joshua chapter 10

well God can defy physics all he wants. And allow us to as well if it serves his purpose like in your example. What happened that day was a miracle.

Another good example is the battle of armageddon when the sun stops shining and the moon turns blood red. The sun not shining doesnt literally mean it will go away, after all if it did, the earth would begin to freeze and get cold fast. I mean, we know how fast temps drop once night falls, depending on the season.

but yeah, the earth spins a a few thousand mph. A sudden stop is no different from a sudden stop driving at 100+ mph in your car. You'll fly through the windshield. (unless God is involved)

Awesome, thank you for sharing your link!

I'm thinking how God had set His plans in motion
long before Joshua would face that day and
how God planned for the universe to obey Him
and be set in it's place, just for Joshua on that day.

Now that's commitment, that is the love of God!
