Jerusalem’s engineer demands that the ”Mughrabi” bridge for Jews to the Temple Mount be repaired or closed because of dangers.

The complaint of its stability could not come at a worse time for Israel. The bridge, also known as the Rambam Gate, has been a potential explosive subject involving Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Jordan.

There doesn't seem to have been much Temple Mount news recently, but if Jews are unable to visit there may be a review of the entire issue.

Israel news photo: Flash 90The Jerusalem Municipality's chief engineer Shlomo Eshkol said Thursday that he planned to issue an immediate order for the closure of the Rambam Bridge (also known as the Mughrabi Bridge), currently the only entry point to the Temple Mount for Jews and non-Muslim tourists. In a letter to the Western Wall Foundation, which is responsible for the structure, Eshkol said that the bridge structure was very dangerous and in danger of immediate collapse, and could easily catch fire as well. The order to close the bridge would be issued within 7 days, the letter said

On Thursday, Mansour issued a statement in which he said that
“Israel is ignoring all the warnings of the Arab and international communities.”
In the statement, Mansour also accused the Israeli government of trying to “Judaize” Jerusalem.

JERUSALEM – The Israeli government is currently banning all non-Muslims from ascending the Temple Mount, considered the holiest site in Judaism.

"It seems freedom of religion in Israel is only for Muslims and not for Christians and Jews," Danny Danon, deputy speaker of the Knesset, told WND, referring to the new restrictions.
