Another cousin "Sandy" who has been on oxygen for years, has had very bad lungs and lots of other problems recently fell and broke her ankle, she had to have surgery and then they sent her to a rehab... Needless to say she was complaining the nurses at rehab weren't doing their job "they weren't", she ended up with her ankle infected and instead of the rehab getting the anit biotics she was supposed to immediatly it took them three days..
Bad to worse yesterday we were told her liver has failed and her husband and daughter went to spend the day with her, they have unplugged her life support and are not putting any oxygen on her and not giving her any fluids..
Please Pray for this to be over with soon so she doesn't needlessly suffer, I know she is unconsious but... Please just pray for her mom and family Thank you...
Loop wrote:I got to visit her yesterday, they are still calling it end of life, letting two up at a time to visit with her, she knew me when I went in an she was wide awake and she jokingly asked what tree I fell out of lol, she asked where my son and husband was, she still gets confused at times but her eyes has cleared up with very little yellow in them. The nurse said her kidney function was a little worse yesterday. Please keep praying..
She once thought she was on a boat and then her house but she kept coming back and talking good.. She was talking about all the people in her room, "its a single bed only her" , she was talking about things we did when we were young, and about going fishing when she gets well.. And wanted me a couple times to wake her husband.
The nurse brought in her food and walked out, she is still weak and wouldn't have been able to eat or drink herself so I got her potato soup and fed her she ate really well and had jello and drank three different cans of pop while I was there, she still seems dehydrated as she drank quiet a lot while I was there, her mom and sister was coming later in the evening so I left so she could rest up until they got there but it was so good to see her...
And yes it was a miracle she even woke back up and her liver is working again, that they were not expecting, so we got more time with her...

Thinking of you and your family, Loop.
Loop wrote:I haven't updated for a while, my cousin Sandy was moved to another nursing home almost a week ago, she is getting stronger and is now almost back to normal, just talked to her on the phone, so wonderful to hear her voice, she says she still doesn't remember a lot of things but compared to what the drs had said she has beat all the odds, they are now talking about rehab LOL... God is Great and has given us more time with her..
She likes the place she is in now, said the nurses are very good to her and the food is really good, her ankle that she broke is looking good and they are talking about getting her up into her wheelchair soon which she is looking forward too..
Thank you guys so much for the Prayer, my cousin is a miracle what they the drs did not expect to live...![]()

Love you, too. Man, it's so awesome to have friends I've never seen face to face, but love so much.....and honestly, know so well. It's true....we've revealed our emotions and hearts and thoughts and observations and opinions etal....so much to each other over the past years that we do "know" one another here on so many levels.
