I have some prayer requests.

No 1) My brother in-law has fought cancer twice already in his life and now its back for the third time. This time in his lungs. His name is Patrick and he is 38 yrs old.

No 2) We just found out recently that the oldest son of the woman I'm helping was recently molested. Its not the first time for him by this same person. But this is all just coming out. His name is Matthew and he is 9.

No 3) My husband. Ever since he joined the board at church his sleeping has been interrupted. It has been going on for about 4 years now. My husband feels its an attack by the enemy. He had a particularly rough night last night. My daughter came in 5 Times last night for various reasons and he is too sweet to wake me up to deal with her. I was up at 3 am last night with my 10 year old son who woke up having a nightmare for the second night in a row. But I beat back Satan this morning by telling my husband that all Satan's attempts at screwing up his sleep just cause me to admire him that much more for sparing me the lack of sleep. He knows how difficult it would be for me. My husband's name is Stephen.

Thank you for your prayers.
family

Your family is in our prayers. My brother-in-law is going through chemo and radiation now also. This is my wife's baby brother, the one whose diapers she changed and she took care of. When we were in high school, he often tagged along wherever we went. He is 40. She is having a pretty rough time. His cancer is inoperable and malignant. A miracle is what it will take for him to survive. But we know God is in control and that can calm a lot of nerves.
I'm praying for all.

Please have the Mother of the boy who was molested to get help immediately for the boy. If he doesn't get the help NOW, he could end up doing terrible things. I know this all by first hand, so immediate help for the boy is more then essential.
My heart goes out to all these people.
prayers

Many prayers to all of you. Is it just me or are there more and more people with cancer lately? In addition to my cousin that I posted about here, I found out last night that my uncle has cancer that is advanced enough that he probably won't live long. He just smiles and says he's going to a better place, but we will still miss him.

And I agree, the boy that was molested, in addition to many many prayers, I hope he gets good counseling!
Love to all,
counseling

Postby AngieKat on Fri Apr 02, 2004 9:10 am

This poor boy has been having emotional problems for several months now (nightmares, behavior at school). His mother put him in counseling when his problems began and was referred to a child psychiatrist. It was recommended they put him on meds which his mother did reluctantly. His mother says its the meds that have brought all this out. He had a physical exam yesterday and is okay and continutes to receive counseling with a Christian psychologist. Praise God!

His mother has been in an upward struggle her whole life. But she is making improvements in her life including making steps to go to college to get a teaching certificate. I am very proud of her. She is working very hard to get on track.

Thank you all for your prayers, concern and advice.
update

Thanks Pam for the prayers and concern. The boy is in the process of trying to get the alleged abuser to admit his crime over the phone. Mom says he is doing well.
abuse

Postby highdesert ITD on Fri Apr 09, 2004 4:33 pm

Angie, I hope the law enforcement are aware of this, because I know someone who tried to get some one to say something over the phone and that person ended up becoming physically abusive. I am praying that God will restore this child and his innocence.
Yes, he has been interviewed by a detective and I believe the mother is taking him through all the appropriate channels for help. Thanks for your concern.
Young boy in trouble

The young boy has been admitted to the children's psych ward. He needs prayers desperately. Had two outbursts at school this week. These usually consist of violence to himself.
