Percicution or chastisement

Percicution or chastisement

Postby Bill Holden on Sat Oct 29, 2005 5:24 pm

I have been a Christian for 17 years. What a ride.
I have been searching for a church that loves the truth for that long. Thought I found one. Alas I am blacklisted again. Well the last time this happenned I was given the boot. I wonder what Sunday will bring.
Lord not my will but thine.

Well they didn't kick me out. Surprised.
Yet
The pastor prayed against the spirit of jesabel. I love that guy but ...
One thing I have noticed about most Christians is that after a few years of training in whatever religion, they become impenitrable. They don't just try to keep satan out , they keep God out. you can prove something beyond question but they will hang onto their religious training as if it is their salvation.
The church I am attending is penticostal. in thier creed they have at least 3 errors. But these are the foundation of there faith. You can't question the esentials.
They just shut the door on the face of Christ.
They think that because people are getting saved and the church is growing fast and the Spirit is so evident,and he is, that they have the truth.
God is showing up but their stoney hearts wont let him in.
I think I should change my name to bleeding heart

Yes I know what you are talking about....I ddnt get kicked out either...well if you dont count me doing the kicking that is..lol

I was just discussing this issue with someone the other day.
What many dont understand....is that just becuase a church is growing doesnt mean its blessed of God.

In fact if it is growing inspite of false teachings...and we have many examples of this today....odds are that God has given its leaders up to their own ways.
Those He loves He chastises....those who arent chastised...those who dont heed His chastisement....arent His.

Edited to add a clarification
There will be many who come out of these belief systems in spite of the fact that they flourish.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is very hard to understand. Or should I say accept as true. They seem to love the Lord. The worship seems so serious. The scripture in Isaiah comes to mind "they honour me with their lips but their heart is far from me." And then there is the possability that it is me . But what it does is drive me back into the word to prove myself and I always come away with a deeper understanding. So it is good in a way, but it sure hurts sometime. It feels so funny. I am 50 years old and I sobbed so deeply the other day. !!!!! But I am sure I am right in What I see so Walk on
I'm curious what exactly was the disagreement that cused this? I don't mean to pry but I am running up against the same thing myself and I'm curious to see what kinds of false teachings, etc others are running up against and being ignored/blacklisted over. For me its speaking out against theophostic "ministry" which just seemd to pop up out of nowhere like a weed.
I wonder if it would be worth while to possibly start a list of people who have been unable to find a church for these reasons and start local group meetings on a regular basis, possibly co-ordinating from a central site online.
Hi....I could not help but add my 2 cents here.... :clap2:
Jesus was blacklisted by those in his religious community, they persecuted Him, they will persecute us...
As we head more into the last of the last days.....we are going to see more evidence of falling away....church's are getting off track and turning a bit apostate already....I myself am finding that, the smaller the better, and many are turning to the home group scenario.
In China and other persecuted countries, they have to meet underground and in homes, etc....
Sometimes it is difficult to wade through the stuff and get the truth of the situations we may find ourselves in and we have to press into the Lord more in prayer and fasting to get the answers that we truly need.
House churches are becoming more and more common.... soon enough they'll be the only ones we can attend, and illegally at that.
people can have issues but the church is alive and strong in this whole big world. unless you live in some hole in the backwoods there are many many good churches out there. I would say more honestly that the issue might be with us.
