e-sword replacement

Postby harpazo hope on Wed Aug 30, 2006 1:35 pm

I really have enjoyed e-sword. I don't think it was missing anything at all. The only problem is every time I download it and commentaries, dictionaries, etc. my computer becomes slow or has problems. This is not the only computer we've noticed this with.

So are there any CHEAP but good Bible software programs out there? I especially like being able to search by Strong's numbers and phrases. I want a couple of versions but KJV for sure. Anything more doesn't really matter to me.

I absolutely LOVE to use my Bible Software on my mobile phone. I have a Treo 650. I have been using the software from Olive Tree: http://www.olivetree.com/index.php Its 'probly the most used program for my phone that I use.

In fact, my wife goes to bed much earlier than I and is a very light sleeper. So as a result I have never been able to read in bed without waking her.

Now with my Bible on my phone, I can read in bed in the dark without disturbing her. Its waay cool.

harpazo, if you're still looking for one, there's a good one at www.powerbible.com

if you download the "demo" you get a searchable KJV with an interlinear and searchable Strong's... this has made my studies alot swifter and more profitable. you should check it out.

Does this version include the Greek translation as does e-sword?
From Scripture we learn values, and since Scripture is the mind of Christ, we learn to think correctly.
