Herman Cain was right..America is too uptight.

Discussion not limited to prophecy.

Herman Cain was right..America is too uptight.

That rhymes! Anyway, it seems people can't tell a joke anymore without someone screaming "I'm offended". It is true of the population of this board. The fact pointed out on other sites which I have read articles about this topic on all say "You don't have a right in the constitution not to be offended". This is true. But I will also point out that you also don't have a biblical right not to be offended.

It is one thing for someone to purposely and maliciously insult and aggravate another person, but it is another entirely for someone to say some good natured humor, and be attacked and condemned for it. Example: Shortly before Obama was elected someone joked "I suppose if Obama is President we will have to rename the white house". Most people laughed, but afew gasped and said "How could he say such a terrible thing?"

People need to get a sense of humor. They need to stop acting as though they are balloons whose mind would unravel with a single poke of a sharp object.

Political Correctness let us not forget, has turned what was once considered an act of bravery and character, that is sticking up for what you believe in, and turned it into what is often now considered bigotry.

So I ask you all now. What side are you on? The side of Political Correctness...or the side of humor and decency?
