Hmmmm, this is always a popular subject. I'm surprised there are no posts.

Hi Truthinlove. It's been hashed over so many times and hardly any new Scripture has been presented to help resolve the debate. Yet the Word seems clear if we just read it for what it says, and the language from Prophecy to Prophecy seems to connect so many of the end times battles into one final day, The Day of the Lord. I agree with Joel Isa 17 is part of the DOTL, as is Ps 83 and Eze 38-39. There are passages that are difficult to understand how they would come about, yet virtually all of these end with the same concept, Israel will know the Lord and they will be His people, and the gentile survivors will know the Lord is the Holy one in Israel, and that it was His Hand on them that accomplished their destruction. If we keep an open mind and pray about it the Lord will reveal His Truth, in His time. Israel must finish her punishment for disobedience, desolations are still determined until the end of the war.

Also I don't believe there are seven years left, but only three and one half. I also fail to see Russian involvment but perhaps the muslims of the far north such as the Chechyns in the coalition of gog/magog, and to the quarters , or flanks, the muslims of eastern Europe, and the stans of the steppe nations, like Khazahkistan and possibly the Uighers. From the west in general will come the antisemites from many nations, to join the invasion of the many peoples and armies with them. Big over view here, details found in Scripture.

God Bess You

David
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Hi David,

Are you saying that the Day of the Lord is ONE day??? With so much things going on according to the passages that talk about the Day of the Lord, it is quite difficult to comprehend the DOTL being just ONE day...

Blessings,
KA
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

πατερ δοξασον σου το ονομα
Father, glorify thy name.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Hi KA. I'm not certain if it is one day or longer, honestly. I stated that as much to make the point that rather than there being a succession of long running battles over three and a half years the bulk of endtime Prophecy seems to me to speak of invasion and over running of Israel, desolation's of the land and people, culminating with our Lord's return who fights the battle for us. I don't think He will spend a lot of time doing this, but I am uncertain of how long. I am thinking of when Israel faced a great enemy to their east, forget the exact story, and were afraid to go to battle. The Lord instructed them to go in the morning, and when they did come on the enemy they found the Angel of the Lord had been there during the night and slew everyone from King to camp dog. So precedent for short duration is there, certainly within the ability of our Lord.

God Bless You
