21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
22 But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.
23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;
24 yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.

mrgravyard49 wrote:Interesting how things are happening. And so many things at the same time.. World Economy about to fall, Isaiah 17 and Psalm 83 soon to happen and maybe WW3? But here we are, all this happening and September getting closer..
IM thinking these wars are soon to happen because they dont want to have a war in the winter..
As I have said I dont see the church being around by Novembers election, and infact I wont be shocked if there is NO election. Wild Times ahead.....
I cross WW3 off my list because there are not superpowers with major ideological battles going on right now. The Chinese, the Russians, the Communists, etc. no one is trying to take over the territory of other countries. Of course, that is on the superpower scale.
mrgravyard49 wrote:Well September is now here.. I figure in between now and the 20th alot will happen.. Just look, Bibi is now ready to strike Iran.. If we are here to see October and a November Election I will be in Total Shock...

We who believe in the pretribulation, premillennial view of Bible prophecy hold that the Holy Spirit indwells each born again (saved) person during this Age of Grace (Church Age). Christians are thus known, collectively, as the church. The church, indwelt by God the Holy Spirit, is the Body of Christ, individually and corporately. It is this body of believers who act as salt and light for a world of corruptive evil that would otherwise bring about total decay, causing every area of human existence to implode.
The Holy Spirit will, therefore, the above prophecy informs, live within and exert influence through believers in Jesus Christ until the moment God no longer acts as restrainer of this world’s evil. This truth provides the answer to the question that is being asked prolifically in one form or another: When will all of the evil that is threatening America and the world bring civilization crashing down?
Some of that evil that looms threateningly over our daily lives brings worried glances from even the most ardent skeptics of Bible prophecy. An economic storm of unprecedented magnitude hangs angrily above America, with national debt that just turned $16 trillion as the Democrat Party–chief among contributors to the fiscal madness—began its convention the week just past. (The Republican Party, it must be said, contributed mightily to the staggering debt load as well.)
It amazes even the global gurus of finance as to why the world isn’t already crushed by the impending economic crash. Iran’s leadership tells Israeli leaders practically every day that they intend to wipe the Jewish state from the face of the earth. They do little to hide the fact that they are in the process of bringing into reality nuclear weapons that can make their destructive wishes a fait accompli.
With such an avowed, blood-thirsty enemy, missiles trained on Israel and, some believe, on the very brink of producing atomic weaponry, it astonishes many observers that the Israeli Defense Force hasn’t already risked initiating all-out war by destroying Iran’s nuclear production facilities.
Absolute evil pervades every strata of society. The days like those of Sodom and of the antediluvian times of Noah inflict debauchery and violence that only a decade ago would have seemed far distant. Islam is allowed to usurp, in some cases, the U.S. Constitution, favoring Sharia Law in order to show tolerance. At the same time, Christianity is pushed to the margins of society and held up as intolerant by the tolerance police–through the insane institutions many of the federal courts have become.
Yet, the world holds together, while seeming to be on the very cusp of “Implosion,” as the title of Joel Rosenberg’s book would have it.
The Restrainer is at work. I believe that’s the answer to why the implosion has not happened, bringing total devastation to this judgment-bound earth. When the Restrainer removes and the church is called to be with Christ, I’m convinced the impending horrors that have for so long engendered the questions about the end will fall instantly upon a Christ-rejecting world.
Are you Rapture Ready?
smallisland wrote:Its been six years now since I started following discussions on this site and so many times I've felt the disappointment in Mr Graveyard's posts as each year comes around and still no rapture.
I just don't know any more - not about the rapture - not about the doom and gloom predictions. It always seems to be a case of "so near, yet so far".
Hy husband always says if he were a betting man he'd bet we will still be around to pick up our retirement pensions if we're lucky and our health holds out.
Maybe we read into things what we want to read. Maybe we're just getting it all terribly wrong.
smallisland wrote:Speaking of RR ... did anyone happen to read the doom-mongering predictions on there about the London Olympics? Happy to say that was totally wrong - we've just experienced a marvellous summer of royal celebration and sporting achievement. So glad I took no notice. See that's what I mean. People take these things to heart.

mrgravyard49 wrote:I agree, Rt.. ....... Its just the past few years and mostly the last year being out of work 8 months has been tough REAL tough. as it is for many.. We are just tired and have had enough. Yes I still have a faint hope of the rapture but mostly have given up. No matter how or when we get home, at least there is a home to go to.. Praise Jesus!!!!!!
Colossians 3:1-4
1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
Romans 8:22-25
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
2 Corinthians 5:1-9
1 For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven,
3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked.
4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life.
5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.
6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight—
8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
