I was reading Revelation,

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb takes place in Heaven AFTER the
Rapture of the Church. (Revelation 19:6-9)

War on earth comes AFTER the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:11-21)

Seems obvious to me that Christians are already raptured before the Great Tribulation....what do you guys think?

Marriage

Personally, I think that Rev 9:8 refers to the Marriage and consumation. This takes place in heaven. The marriage supper takes place on earth, after Israel is redeemed and the remnant is invited too. And blessed they are!

A picture of the marriage supper is the Jewish Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles). I've been studying this and I've even found a Jewish tradition that says we will be dining on Leviathan (a very huge fish) and Behemoth (a very large ox).

rapture and great trib.

This depends on what the great tribulation is. I won't make this a long post. Here is a brief timeline and if you have specific questions or arguements then I will try to address those or change my position.

Beginning of the 70th week of Daniel-covenant with many
1260 days later-abomination of desolation
beginning of great tribulation
tribulation ends
Christ appears in the clouds to rapture church, seal 144000, and begin wrath
7 trumpets and bowls-final battle before 1000 year reign

The marriage supper is mentioned when Christ is coming with His armies(angels not the church) in Revelation 19. By this point the Great tribulation has been over for at least 7-8 months possibly longer.

I think we both agree on the timing of the "great" tribulation. It's the timing of the rapture of the true church we disagree.

I'll find some verses in the OT about the supper. It'll take some time though.

me too!

I'll try to do some studying on the marriage supper and its timing also. I'm not totally sure we agree on the tming of the great trib. I think we agree when it starts but I don't believe that it lasts 3.5 years. I believe it lasts 3 years or less and that the trumpets and bowls are poured out during the remainder of the 7 years and 30 days.

This is taken from biblefragrances.com and does a much better job of explaining the timing than I can do. This does not address the marriage supper but it may better help you understand where I'm coming from in regard to great trib. not being the full 3.5 years which affects your position of why church can't go through trib.

The prewrath rapture position, which takes the scriptures in their normative, literal sense unless clearly identified in the scriptural context as figurative, associates the rapture of the church with the sixth seal of Revelation. It is at this time that the Day of the Lord begins, during which period of time, God will administrate his divine judgment and wrath upon those unbelievers who remain on the earth (1 Thessalonians 5:3; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; Revelation 6:16-17; 8:5). This position sees the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven bowls of the book of The Revelation, as consecutive. The sixth seal signs are the same signs mentioned at Matthew 24:29-31 and Joel 2:30-31, and announce the Second Coming of Jesus at some unknown time during the second half of Daniel's 70th week. This arrival of Jesus in the clouds of the sky is the "official" parousia (coming) of Christ, cuts short the great tribulation from its expected 3 1/2 year duration (Matthew 24:22, 29) and delivers living Christians from the beast's oppression (2 Thessalonians 1:7) by gathering them into the sky with Jesus along with all other believers who had died throughout history (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). The Day of the Lord judgments are represented by the trumpets and bowls of the book of The Revelation and culminate with the Battle of Armageddon. The arrival of Jesus at Armageddon is not the "official" second coming, but is instead, the physical descent of Jesus to the earth with His army of angels for this final, climactic battle. At this descent, Jesus will destroy the armies surrounding Jerusalem and make final preparations for His literal 1000-year reign upon the throne of David
Marriage Supper

The marriage supper is known as Sheva Berachot in Jewish tradition. It is a 7 day feast after the marriage ceremony. Here is an article:

www.beliefnet.com/story/1...921_2.html
It is called "Banish the Honeymoon." scroll down to paragraph 3.

It is taught that Jacob would not have deceived by Laban had the feast come last in it's proper place.

Also, I wrote a small commentary on Matthew 24:22 in "Where does it say 7 year trib?".Here it is:

Some people use Matthew 24:22 (And except those days should be shortened, there should not flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened) to back the idea that the trib is only 3 1/2 years. I would like to propose the following idea:

God could use OTHER means of "shortening" the days. He said that in those days the powers of heaven would be shaken with signs and wonders. In the OT, God performed the miracle of the sun moving backwards and standing still. HE COULD DO IT AGAIN! This time he could fast forward it!

There is nothing in the Bible that states that a day is 24 hours long. A day begins at dark and ends as the sun goes down. God could speed up the sun so that there are less hours in a day!
Thanks for the link to the article; I will enjoy reading it. Just for some clarification, I do not believe the trib. is 3.5 years long. I believe it is shorter than that. Its length is anywhere from a short period of time(?) to 3 years and 1 month. The remaining time of the 3.5 years after the trib. is the wrath of God(day of the Lord), the trumpets and bowls. See sixth seal of Revelation 6-day of wrath has come. The second, third, fourth, and fifth seal take place from midpoint until Christ appears in the sky. The seals, trumpets, and bowls are chronological.
