Did we miss the "Covenant with Many"?

Postby MAGOH on Mon Oct 07, 2013 1:55 pm

I recently picked up the book 'The Final Babylon' by Krieger, McGriff and Woodward and can't put it down. I have long suspected (as is their premise) that the USA is the nation that ushers in antichrist.

I know we can't name the AC and I won't but here's some information I want to throw out.

In the book they spoke of the "Unbreakable Alliance" meeting between our president and Netanyahu in Israel in March (info here http://aoreport.com/ao/news-articles/18 ... raeli-trip and here http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news ... icial-logo )

In the Hebrew it means "Covenant of Peoples" - eerily similar to Daniel's "covenant with many" - down to even the Hebrew word used in Daniel being on the official logo (here http://go.bloomberg.com/political-capit ... -alliance/)

OK - no biggie until you start to do some math...

From 3/21/13 to 9/1/2016 is 1260 days (verify in Microsoft excel or here http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duratio ... 14&y2=2020)

We know the AOD is mid way through the 7 year covenant (i.e. 1260 days, although not necessarily exactly at the midway point)

But when you look at the exact midway point in light of Matthew 24 you see some interesting things.

Here's Jesus' words in Matthew 24

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days

“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]

-On 9/1/16 there is a Solar eclipse (http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/sola ... eptember-1)

-On 9/1/16 there is a dark moon (http://lunaf.com/english/moon-phases/lu ... 016/09/01/)

-Also 9/1/16 may be the actual Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets based on some arguments over the Jewish calendar (see here http://www.studiesintheword.org/jewish_ ... errors.htm)-the same Rosh Hashanah that is known to some as the 'feast of the unknown day or hour' http://roshhashanah-good.blogspot.com/2 ... -hour.html

-Also around 9/1/16 there may be some pretty spectacular meteor showers but I haven't really jumped into researching those yet

THEN, when you go forward 1290 days from 9/1/16 you are at 3/14/2020 (refer to Daniel 12 for the 1290 days reference) you arrive at....

-The Jewish holiday Shabbat Parah - the Red Heifer Sabbath (the same red heifer that was a sacrifice that foreshadowed the sacrifice of Christ)
http://jewishholidaysonline.com/2020
http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holida ... parah.html

Threw this together quickly, going hunting, will look at responses when I'm back tonight.

Yes, yes I believe we may have. I truly believe we may be in the seal openings.
The Final Babylon is a great book, but read it along withThe Window of The Lords Return- John Shorey, and WOW! :shock:
I know, I know...broken record, but I can't recommend this book enough.

So Oneday, what did they say in the book about the 7 years of clean up? How does that fit in? Just curious.... :dunno:

That's a very good question GS. I think I'll ask Mr. Shorey. We have been in contact.

Ezek. 39:
7 “My holy name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let My holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Behold, it is coming and it shall be done,” declares the Lord God. “That is the day of which I have spoken.

9 “Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them. 10 They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,” declares the Lord God.
Interesting to know the timing of this. But, it seems to be after The Day of the Lord... I know the seven years mentioned causes many to think this is before the tribulation begins, but could that assumption be wrong?
Also, mrgraveyard49. that's a great question too. To meet the unwalled villages requirement, Israel will have to be living is such a perceived state of peace that they won’t believe there’s any danger of an attack by their enemies.
It will all fall into place. It will be amazing to see all this happen, I believe in a very short time period.
Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.

There was no coincidence here. I agree this was and is a covenant with many peoples otherwise it would not have been titled that... It was Israel that titled this visit. They will be the authors of their own downfall... It was what it was :wink:

I spoke with John Shorey tonight. We discussed Ezek. 38 & 39. He said that just because there will be a seven year clean-up, that doesn't mean this occurs at the beginning of the seven year peace treaty. There are many seven's given in the Bible. Ezek. 39: 7 “‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.

9 “‘Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign Lord.

He, John Shorey believes that this Gog Magog war will occur at the mid point of the tribulation. It makes sense...

Also, on his web site, I found this very interesting;
From http://www.tribulationtruth.com/Prophetic-Updates.cfm

Clues to identify the coming antichrist.

When I was getting ready to write my chapter on the coming antichrist, I started gathering my thoughts on what I should write and almost decided to not even write this chapter. I felt at the time that I had nothing new to say. Then within two weeks God started showing me insights in His word that I had previously missed. Since my book was originally printed I have received a rush of new insights that I feel we should look at and consider. What is interesting about these insights is that they are all pointing in the same direction. Out of respect for the office of our world leaders I will not be using any names so as to protect the innocent or the guilty.

When you read my book, “The Window of the Lord’s Return”, you will read where God showed me that to qualify for the antichrist you have to be one of the 10 heads of state that will make up the new one world government. The world will be divided into 10 regions with 10 heads of state.

Chapter 8 in my book is about the coming antichrist and has many insights you need to study. I will primarily be covering new insights that are not covered in my book, with the following exception, my first insight comes from my book from Daniel 8.

1. Read Daniel 8:23 and 24: “A stern faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior.” If you will study these verses you will see many clues to the coming antichrist. “A master of intrigue,” points to a leader that will have an air of mystery about him. This could mean that much of his background and history are unknown. “He will cause deceit to prosper” points to a leader who commonly deceives those he rules over. This is a nice way of saying that he will be a skilled liar.

2. Another clue comes from Daniel 11:37; this is another case where many have not seen what I believe is the true meaning of this text. "He will show no regard for the god of his fathers or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god but will exalt himself above them all." This scripture is talking about three different clues:

He will show no regard for the god of his fathers.
He will show no regard for the one desired by women.
He will not regard any god but will exalt himself above all gods.

The first clue above has been taken by some prophetic teachers to mean that the antichrist will have Jewish blood in his genealogy and will therefore have no regard for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I heard the current leader of our country has Jewish ancestry on his mother’s side. I tried to research this and came up blank. I asked a friend who is very good at this type of research and he came back to me saying that much of his mother’s and his history has been scrubbed clean. This does not surprise me as the Bible says the antichrist will be a person of intrigue or mystery. If we can’t even prove if he is an American citizen, it does not bother me that we can’t prove his genealogy.

The focus of my second clue is in the second part of the scripture above. "He will show no regard for the one desired by women" In the King James version it says "Neither shall he regard the desire of women" It has bothered me that many have said this means he will have no desire for woman and will be a homosexual. This is not what this verse is saying. It says "He will show no regard for the one desired by women" So the question is, who is “the one desired by women." I was talking to a friend about this and as we chatted about who was the one, it dawned on us that God has given woman a desire from the beginning of creation, this desire has been recently perverted, but this God-given desire of women is to have babies and raise a family. When you realize that the one desired by woman is babies, then when you read this verse about the antichrist, it is saying "He will show no regard for babies desired by women". Now what world leader comes to mind that has no regard for babies? I am thinking of a leader who is making abortion on demand available for all teenagers, a leader who is forcing even Christian businesses to make abortion available to all employees. This leader has said he would not want his daughters to be cursed with pregnancy. I don’t want to mention any names, but when I look at this clue and the others I will list below, my suspicions as to who the man of sin is have run up to at least 90%.

3. I have developed a friendship from Uganda, a young pastor with a nice young family. He expressed to me that he and other Christians in Uganda are upset that the leader of our country is promoting homosexuality. He then went on the say that the leaders of his country will not stand up in opposition to this agenda that his people find so offensive because his country is getting food and financial aid from America and they cannot afford to rock the boat and lose this aid. It then dawned on me that this well known world leader is using financial and food assistance to blackmail countries into going along with his agenda. It further dawned on me that this leader is using the same tactics to get senators and congressmen to go along with his agenda by promising pork barrel projects to certain states that go along with him and threatening those states with financial cutbacks if they oppose his agenda. It finally dawned on me that this is the system of the antichrist. If you do not buy into his system you can not buy or sell. You will not be able to buy food for your family.

4. Recently a prominent world leader visited Israel. It was his first visit to Israel and Jerusalem. It is interesting that this visit took place on the week of the Jews most Holy day, Palm Sunday, the same holy day that Jesus arrived in Jerusalem riding on a donkey. His arrival was in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. What we need to realize is when the antichrist arrives he also will point to instances were he fulfilled Bible prophecy. What was also interesting about this visit is how obvious it is that this world leader wants to be seen as the one who is pushing for a peace between Israel and the Middle East. We already know who will succeed in delivering a seven year peace in the Middle East don’t we? Yes: the antichrist. Mmmmm… do we have a match?

5. Some are saying the antichrist has to come from Europe. Where is this in scripture? If he is to come from the Roman Empire. Remember the Roman Empire was the super power of its day. What country today is the world super power?

6. Another clue says the antichrist is referred to as the Assyrian. I recently learned that at one time the Assyrian Empire extended to Kenya.

7. It is an interesting to note that the leader, who is from one of the 10 regions of the world that will make up the new one world government, must be hated and feared enough for someone to want to assassinate him, thus helping to fulfill prophecy that he would be fatally wounded and come back to life.

8. In closing, there has been a lot of talk about the last pope predicted in the 12th century and his part to play when the antichrist comes on the scene. If my suspicions are correct, we could be watching the last elected president of the United States.

OneDay, there have been others I felt fulfilled the requirements, but none so much as the person this author is referring to, in my estimation.

I don't know, with America being marginalized and weakened as a world power, how this can play out. I have read that our nuclear weapons are in pitiful condition and have not had proper maintenance, and we do not have enough money to wage another major war anywhere. Unless some other country bankrolls it, which has been mentioned before.

I can't buy the rosy financial picture that The Final Babylon paints for the US.

But I am watching. And very willing to say I have been wrong before, and will be wrong again.

What I am certain of is that the time is near.

OneDay: Thank you for sharing this. I really have thought we'de see the Ezekiel war and the anti christ sweeping in to make peace, thus drawing many more to himself, at the beginning of the final 7, but now I find that I need to try to figure out if I had scripture to back this, or if it was an opinion that I formed, because it seemed convenient.

The characteristics of the a/c as described in your post and observed by Mr. Shorey are, as the Europeans would say, "spot on." It's amazing to me that my spirit has known since the immediate beginning, as I often recall crying on the first election night, and being inconsolable. This is not from my own strength, but from the Lord, who strengthens me. My spirit knew from the very beginning....and I know it was the Lord showing me, all praise, thanks and glory be to God.

I recall Bro. Brian's commentary yesterday and in his final remarks he said "You will be fine with God." I almost highlighted that and said I completely agree, but I didn't want to make people read such an insignificant post. On second thought, I should have highlighted it, because it might have carried few words, but insignificant, it was not. We should all remember those words!

Those were my feelings exactly, GS. I believe that you-know-who fits every scriptural criteria so far. And when he was re-elected, I knew that this country was doomed and we had passed the point of no return as far as invoking God's wrath on this country.

My only hesitation about absolutely labeling him the AC is that I have been wrong so many times before.

I read that Barack Hussein Obama's gamatria (sp?) is not 666. I wonder what it would work out with Sotero. But then again, who even knows his real name.

Sorry, mods. I am probably going to get kicked off the board for breaking the rules, but this is SO BIG. :a2:

The Temple is coming, it will go up very quickly. IMHO, one of the first actions the ac will take after his fatal wound is healed is to bring about world peace, brokering a seven-year peace between Israel and her neighbors. This will not only calm the global threat of war, but will allow Israel to rebuild its temple beside the Dome of the Rock, with a wall separating the two. I really do hope that the pre-trib view is the correct view. I just don't see it backed up in scripture, especially when you read the book of Revelation in chronological order. The verse that pre-tribers use - verse 1 of Revelation 4 - After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Revelation7:9-17 looks more like the rapture ;
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Think about it. This great multitude shows up all at once. I know the words Great Tribulation throws many off, but could we be wrong in assuming that just because the words Great Trib automatically puts this chapter at the last 3/12 years of the trib?
I believe that we should prepare ourselves for perhaps being here on earth until God starts pouring His wrath out at the second half of the trib.
Anyhow, it may be more prudent to prepare for the worst case scenario. Many I believe will fall away when they are called to endure persecution from the ac.

Yes, I know. We won't know for sure until hind sight. We will be able to look back and say, oh yeh, that's when that started.
I was die hard pre-trib for years. Let's face it, that's the one hands down that is the best scenario as far as suffering goes.
Oh, how I pray that that's the one! But, if it's not, and I am now convinced it isn't, then many will fall away when the ac is revealed and great persecution starts.
The pre-trib rapture is entrenched in our doctrines of faith. Imagine the confusion that will arise when the church isn't raptured before Rev. 6 before the seals are opened.
Think about 2 Pet 3. Scoffers are taunting believers by saying, "Where is the promise of His coming?" Why would scoffers be saying this unless the Tribulation has started and the Rapture hasn't happened. I know they scoff at us now, but just imagine how bad it will get then?
Look at 1 Thess. 5:2-3
2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
This verse is often used to teach the pre-trib Rapture.
but, read further-
Read 1 Thess. 5: 4-11
4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
As believers we truly need to search the scriptures as the Bereans did. And if we are in God's army and we have been given the Great Commission to preach the Gospel to the world, I just wonder why God would want to take His army home when the greatest opportunity to win the lost will be during this time? I now believe that the doctrine of the pre-trib Rapture that says, "If you are not ready, one of these days you you will be left behind" is a doctrine born by the nature of man. I believe the nature of God, who so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that we could be saved, is a God of grace and love. He is not willing that any should perish. His desire is that all who will, would come to the knowledge of the truth. We, as His children need to stand firm whatever the case may be, while we are here on this earth. Represent and testify! Stand firm.
Read 2 Thess:2: 1-4
2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

I also don't think that the church is holding back the ac from being revealed. There is angelic warfare all around us. God has used His mighty angels in the past in fulfilling His good work. IMHO, it is Michael the Arc angel, through the power of God, that is holding back the ac from revealing himself.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Well, I guess we will see soon!
Read The Window of the Lord's Return. It's extremely compelling :a2:

Hello

If you want to know the truth, then we have not missed the "Covenant with Many." It just so happens that many are looking for it in the wrong millennium/age. It will occur during the "little while" during the final age which we have labeled the Millennium Age. We have been told that Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years during this age before he is released for a "little while" which I suspect will be around 24 years in duration during which time, the "greater light" will become darker because of the great falling away and the lesser light will become red with the Blood of the Saints as they are hounded and killed during this time of Great Tribulation for the Saints. Satan at this little while period of time will insolently make a Solemn Covenant with many some time after he is released.

Seems like we might have it all confused and have missed being counter/included in the future flock of lambs. Sadly we will probably be included with the flock of the Goats. You know the goat(s) that all of the congregations' sin is put onto and is then lead out of the camp into the desert to die so that the congregation is redeemed and judged as being righteous.

Oh well, it is just a thought worth considering

Another question about another 7.....Daniel 9: 27 says he will form a covenant with many for one seven....or some translations say for one week......

What was formed in this meeting that meets that, or how does that apply here?

Sorry I am so late asking, I have been really busy and am late really reading and catching up.

Hey There GS!
Editor's Note: This page features news related to President Obama's trip to Israel. According to Israeli authorities, President Obama arrived in Israel on March 20 for a two day stay. We will have separate textual analysis of prophecies concerning the rise of the Antichrist as might be related to President Obama's trip to Israel.

Please note that Obama's trip seems to be integrated with regard "occult" timing and with mimicking Jesus' final days. March 20 at sunset begins Nisan 10, which is the day of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem greeted by the people waving palm fronds, i.e. "Palm Sunday." It was the day Jesus offered Himself up as "Messiah" just in advance of the Passover sacrifices. So too in 2013, where Passover begins on March 25 or sundown of the 24th. Obama's travels during his stay will apparently parallel to at least some extent those of Jesus.

The Netanyahu government has taken the unprecedented step of managing this visit as if it were a 'military' operation, by giving it a Code-name." It is being called an "Operation" and given the code-name of "Operation: Brit Amim." This is a modern-Hebrew term which carries two official names: The English is "Unbreakable Alliance." In modern Hebrew we see it being translated as "Alliance of Nations." However in the ancient Hebrew, the term "Brit" is the word "Beriyth" which is usually translated as "covenant." The term "amim" can meany "many" as in people or simply as "people" or as "many peoples." Thus in ancient Hebrew of Daniel's day the phrase could and probably should be translated as "Covenant of Many Peoples" or Covenant of People." Such a translation closely matches the Hebrew of Daniel 9:27a, "
"And he shall make a covenant with many ..."

In Hebrew:

#1396 #1285 #7227 #259 #7620
גבר ברית רב אחד שבוע
gabar beriyth rab echad shabuwa.

gabar = #1396 with a Hiphil stem = to confirm, to give strength to a beriyth. The Aramaic equivalent carries the idea of compelling or forcing or being overbearing personality or behavior. The term does NOT necessarily mean something done in writing. It can be something done by verbal speech.

beriyth = #1285 = generically: a pact, compact, covenant. I. Between men = #1. a treaty, alliance, league. #2. constitution or ordinance between monarch & subjects. #3. an agreement or pledge between leaders. 4. alliance of friendship. 5. alliance via marriage. II. Between God and man. III. As a verb, meaning covenant-making or covenant keeping or violating a covenant depending on context.

rab = #7227 = much, many, great,

ehad = #259 = one

shabuwa = 7620 = week
This phrase does NOT indicate a peace treaty. The idea of a peace treaty is a total assumption not supported by the text. What the text does say is that "he" is someone who agrees to something or makes a pledge with another leader. There is a strong hint that this is an agreement or pledge of friendship or the strengthening of an "understanding." It may or may not be something agreed to in writing. It may or may not involve and alliance or treaty. The text is simply too vague to conclude that there is a formal peace treaty or defense alliance. The Israeli code-name for Obama's trip: "Operation Brit Amim" would therefore closely identify with what Daniel 9:27a is trying to communicate.
