Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of Calvary Chapel, shocked listeners on Tuesday on his “Pastor’s Perspective” call-in radio program when he encouraged a tearful mother to abort conjoined twins.

The two men completely discount any thought that these babies
might be given to Nicki and her husband to bring glory to Himself.

A few days ago, after years or so of not having seen a child with a disability
I encountered a small child who's arms and hands were not as other children's are.
My heart was breaking as she did not have the ability
to reach out for something on a store shelf, as many children do.
(and take for granted how they have such an ability to do so)
I could see in her eyes how the first six or seven years of her life
had been extremely challenging. She is a hero of life
a testimony to the courage of the human spirit given to us by God.
Her presence here in our world is a testimony
to her parent's courage and love for her.
May her life be honored higher than any earthly princess
on the day of His appearing, may she be a princess of the King
and sit by His side with all the children whom He dearly loves.

Children with disabilities are a gift from the Lord
a far greater gift than any treasure this world can offer.

I pray for the many children worldwide who suffer
and for the parents who have the courage to press on
with the gift of life God has given them.

And praying she will seek to know God's will, which these people obviously don't care about.

I read this story several days ago and was truly saddened by it. I hope it was a lapse of judgement on Chuck's part, but he has yet to admit his mistake or repent of it. He apparently came out the next day and defended his advice to Nikki,
stating it was a choice between her life and those of the conjoined twins. What is going on in the church when even the
pastors that had the reputation of preaching the true Gospel can make such a terrible decision as this.

I read the link and it seem to me he was saying what he did becaused he cared and thought it was for the best.

However we are not God and we don't have a right to take a life like that. It sucks that the babies may not make it. It sucks that the mother will grieve. But God can heal, God can bless even this. God and only God should be over life and death.

Even if an abortion is done when it seems like it is the more kind to do, we don't know what God has planned for that life. Even if it is only for a few minutes or a few years.

This is so very sad
