What Holly Thinks: Blair Says Religion to Play a Key Role in the Globalized World
Tony Blair gave his first major public speech on religion, April 3, at the Westminster Cathedral in London.
In his first major public speech on religion, titled “Faith and Globalisation,” Tony Blair argued that faith can be a powerful force for good in the world. Unfortunately, many Christians will want to join his interfaith efforts and, unwittingly, will help give rise to the Antichrist.

Blair — who converted to Catholicism last year after leaving his post as the United Kingdom’s prime minister — founded the Tony Blair Faith Foundation to promote understanding between religions. One of the foundation’s goals is to mobilize people of different faiths to work together toward achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, which include halving extreme poverty, halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education by 2015.
No doubt, many Christians will be attracted to Blair’s promotion of faith and will want to join in his efforts to solve the world’s problems. Yet, because they don’t know Bible prophecy, they won’t see how his interfaith strategy will lead to the Antichrist’s rule. According to Revelation 13, a global religious order will rise up to support the Antichrist’s global secular order.
And that’s exactly what Blair is calling for. Note, in his speech, how Blair praises the scholarship of Karen Armstrong, a high-level group member of the Alliance of Civilizations. To learn how the Alliance of Civilizations and the United Nations may be helping build the Antichrist’s kingdom, read FP’s Overview.
