Solana’s Future — What Holly Thinks

I’m still not convinced Javier Solana is out of the EU picture. Apparently, I’m not the only one.
Speaking of Solana being succeeded as EU foreign minister, the European Jewish Press yesterday said this is not the last word we’ll hear from Solana. The article went on to state that some officials believe Solana will not only be back as a leader in the European Union, but he’ll be even “more powerful than before.” See the article here.
I wonder if they’re right. Solana, himself, has stated that he intends to continue working for the same ideals he worked for as EU foreign minister, only from a different angle. And the EU Observer reported that Solana intends to continue his work in international mediation. Read about it here.
So, what does Javier Solana’s future hold? Stay tuned!
