This is getting SCAREY!
You want to know how to help yourself and your family? Read this: www.terrorismsafetyallian...&Pageid=15
The rule of thumb is to put as much mass as possible between you and the affected area. Such as lining an inside room with boxes of books and papers ect. The more dense the better. If you can't afford a mask I would suggest getting filter floss for air conditioners or fish tanks to cover your mouths with (don't know how effective it is, but breathing in fall out is the worst part of it). There is no substitute for a good NBC mask, but using what you own won't cost you a thing! Anyway, if you read threw this you can get a good idea on how to protect yourself and those you love.
How this helps. (My family thinks I am crazy when I send them stuff like this, but I was a NBC specialist, it is a SCAREY thing!)
