Hi watchingandwaiting,

You can try one of two ways.

1. Look at the top of your toolbar. Go to "View." Under "View" you will see "Text Size." From there you will be able to select "Increase" or "Decrease."

2. Also, you could just hit the "Ctrl" key and "+" to increase font size. Hit "Ctrl" key and "-" to decrease font size. Keep hitting "+" to desired font size. (Note: you need to keep holding down the "Ctrl" key)

Hope this helps.

PM me if you still have problems.

Aloha,
Janell

Is all of the text on your computer a bit on the small size, or just the text on websites (such as this one)?

Here's how to adjust the text on your computer. This will affect all text on the computer, not just the internet.

1. Click the start button.
2. Select "Settings"
3. Select "Control Panel"
4. Select "Appearance and Themes
5. Select Display
6. On the "Display Properties" window select the "Appearance" tab.
7. At the bottom left of the screen is a "Font Size" setting, change it to "Large Fonts"
8. Click the Apply button. If that isn't big enough, try the "Extra Large Fonts" setting.
9. Click Ok.

See if that helps. Some websites will be affected, other websites won't.

You may also want to lower the screen resolution you're using. The higher your resolution is set, the smaller things appear on the screen, so it may be that your resolution is set on the high end. To change the setting, follow MChat's instructions, assuming you're on Windows, down to #6. But, instead of selecting the Appearance tab, select the Settings tab. The screen resolution can be changed there. In XP, it's a slider control. In older versions of Windows, I believe it was a dropdown box. Choose a lower setting and click the Apply button to see how it looks. The lower the two numbers (for example, 800 x 600), the lower the resolution.

Suggestion:

download and install the firefox browser. It is safer faster and you can size the fonts by simply holding control and either pressing the + or _ keys, or u can use the scroll wheel if your mouse has one to size the fonts in the browser window to what is comfortable for you.

I still use IE, but only with sites that require it AND i trust not to infect me with spyware and viruses.
