Does where you're at make all the difference?

Discussion not limited to prophecy.

Does where you're at make all the difference?

Postby smallisland on Thu Aug 02, 2012 1:07 am

I pay regular visits to another prophecy site which happens to be pre-trib and has just held a major prohecy conference.

I can't help thinking how much easier it must be to stay enthusiastic and upbeat if you're working for a prophecy based organisation, are surrounded by books and DVDs on the subject and regularly get to meet the "experts" at conferences and the like.

Its so much in contrast to the situation many of us find ourselves in where you feel so alone in your beliefs and don't have the cash to splash on continually buying the latest book or DVD let alone attend a conference.

Sometimes when I look at these guys and they seem so over-cheerful, it makes me think they just aren't living in the real world at all. Anyone else agree?

I agree Smallisland, in fact if prophecy does not drive us to repentance, humility and sorrow for the world we have missed the point, its not about "being right".
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

What's wrong with being cheerful?

Nothing Jericho- its context that counts. Where Im at God is asking hard things of me and i see the backslidden church totally oblivious to the real circumstances. Nevertheless I enjoy myself at work and at home. I am a cheerful person! :)
