In a meeting with the EU’s Javier Solana, Monday, Egypt’s foreign minister said Egypt wants to play a leading role in the Mediterranean Union — calling Egypt the “coordinator of the south.” Bible prophecy speaks of an Egyptian “king of the South” who will become a political enemy of the Antichrist (Daniel 11:40).

Olmert makes secret visit to Jordan
Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert made a two-hour surprise visit to Jordan, Wednesday, to discuss Israeli-Palestinian peace talks with King Abdullah. The king urged Olmert to reach a peace deal by the end of the year.
