Avoiding Armageddon — What Herb Thinks

There are people who think they can avoid Armageddon. It’s being reported Ted Turner Documentaries will be airing a four-part documentary on PBS titled “Avoiding Armageddon.” It will be narrated by Walter Cronkite and feature current and former notable world leaders such as Bill Clinton, Kofi Annan and Mikhail Gorbachev.

Sometimes the information pouring out of the European Union is overwhelming — it’s just more than my pea brain can handle at one time. That’s the way it was yesterday. So, instead of posting a commentary yesterday, I just sat back in bewilderment and watched.

A Horn Is A Horn — What Herb Thinks

If you’ve been following my commentaries about the mini-summit that’s going to be held tomorrow in Brussels by France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg Read about it here, you know what I think. I think we’re seeing France and the other anti-American factions in the European Union attempting to create their long-desired “hard core” defense group before the 10 new nations officially become a part of the EU in 2004. You see, these 10 new nations are pro-American, and their entry will shift the balance of power in the EU away from France and Germany and toward Great Britain.

Interesting — What Herb Thinks

The reports about the mini-summit held today in Brussels by France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg are beginning to appear. As I mentioned in my last commentary, I suspect France and other anti-American factions in the European Union are attempting to create a “hard core” defense group before the 10 new pro-American nations enter the EU in 2004.
